How did they handle the loud engine noises? The fire and explosions? Just wondering. My boys tend to be skittish and I think they'd like it minus the noises.

My now five year old saw it for the first time at 20m, she LOVED it, she's not big on noise but loves fast cars. My youngest was 14m when she first saw it and she was clapping and jumping up and down! My oldest was 6 when he saw it first, he hates loud noises and was scared to go in, but he did finally go and said it was the coolest things he'd ever seen, it's now his favorite attraction! They haven't seen the WDW version yet, just the Disneyland Paris one, I'm sure they're the same though.

You can always pack some cotton for their ears. We usually sit in the lower portion of the stadium and it can be loud but it never struck me as horribly loud. The fire and explosions are their favorite parts - of course it was snowing on our last trip and they liked the heat! ;)

First let me preface by saying that my DS's whole world revolves around cars. He will be 4 in June.

He first went at 2.5 and was mesmorized by the show. Last year at 3.5, he decided that he was horribly afraid of the camera truck that moves back and forth so fast :confused3.

As for the noise, the explosions are very brief and not overly loud. How are they with fireworks in general? My DS hated fireworks at 2.5, but didn't mind the noise of the show at all. Now at almost 4, fireworks don't bother him too much, nor the noise of the show, just that truck.

DS3 is very sensitive to loud noises. We bought the ear protecters (looks like ear muffs) that hunters wear. When we went into a show (Stunt Show, Indiana Jones, & Fantasmic) he wore those and really enjoyed all the shows. It made him feel safe about the noises not being too loud. They were $20.00 at our local sporting goods store, and well worth it! He really enjoyed the stunt show!

My DS doesn't like loud noises, either, but cars are his thing!! He has seen this a few times and loves it!! If you are concerned, I would get some earplugs. We would buy them at our local pharmacy, cvs, I believe.

We used those for him at the race tracks and did for several years. He now has his own set of head phones to listen to the races.

My son loves cars to, and thought it was a good idea to let him see the show, how wrong was i, he was fine to start with but something he saw upset him not sure what it was but he screamed and screamed he even tried to leave the stadium. In the end some nice cm let us out (he was 4 at the time) he's 8 now and still refuse's to see the show.
We watched it at DL-paris.

My DS saw it when he was 3 and again at 4, both times he liked the show a lot, but when the explosions happend they scared him and he took cover by burring his head into my chest. They are very brief though and the biggest one is right at the end. I would take him to see it again in heartbeat, but just be ready for the end.

My 3yo DD saw it with us and loved it. When we go to the movies at home the sound is rather high so noise doesn't bother her.

Noises bother my son, but he did fine at the Stunt Show.
