We planned on doing this ABD one day of our trip, but it was just cancelled. :( Now I'm trying to decide if we should just use that day in the parks (5 day ticket), or if we should plan a special tour or something. We were already planning on the Carthay Circle WoC dinner and the Fantasmic dessert party. I also plan to surprise DH with the chef's counter at Napa Rose. Should I just be thankful that I saved ABD money, or is there another great tour (no car, so something onsite) that I should spend it on? This our first ever DL trip.

If it is your first trip, and you have an extra day of park tickets that you could use, I might just do that.

Just received word:

The bad news is it wasn't just your adventure that was cancelled (for lack of sales), the entire adventure us going "back in the vault". The final date is January 18th.

Nooooooooo :( I am so disappointed. We'd booked this (for 5 of us) for next August and I was so looking forward to it

It was one of the things we were considering doing with our "sixth" day...c'est la vie.

Man that's really too bad, I would have loved to do that tour. Maybe they should have tried bringing down the price before canceling it entirely?

I don't think it had to do with not being popular enough. I'm really not sure what the problem was.

Hmm well that is strange. I wonder why? I'm curious now :P

I imagine Tom has a really good source when it comes to this stuff.

Sorry about the Tour OP. I think you should use the extra day in the parks. I like the idea of the WIWF Tour.

I have the random speculation that they're going to be coming out with a new tour to replace it. Or is it just hopeful wishing? :)

Talked to DBF about it and it would be too hard for us to swing $199 each with Christmas and Graduation and his birthday coming up :( I would've loved to surprise him with tickets, but trying to swing $400 when we'll be spending Christmas in Norcal with our families is going to be very difficult. Plus, I'm a poor college student.

I received an email today advising that this tour was cancelled - no reason given, just some waffle that ABD regularly evaluate their tour offerings and have decided to discontinue this tour from February.

I am so disappointed :(

We are still hoping to be able to book the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour and I know I am exceedingly lucky to be going on a Disney cruise followed by a week at Disneyland and I also realise in terms of real life catastrophes and crises it really doesn't compare ..... but I'm still gutted :( :( :(

This is really too bad. I saw it as a great alternative to whole shabang ABD Backstage Magic trip was just amazing.
