I have a kind of strange question: Can anyone say how bright it is inside the wedding pavilion at a 5 p.m. ceremony? I know this depends on weather and time of year. We’re getting married in October, so it will be about 2 hours before sunset. I ask because I had originally envisioned a romantic candlelit ceremony, but my mother was very against the 7:30 p.m. ceremony. Now I’m worried that it will be extremely bright. If I have little tea candles down the aisle, will they even make an impact? Thanks!

My husband and I were married at 5pm in the WP on December 15th. Sunset for us was around 5:45pm or so, and I thought it was quite bright for the ceremony. It lasted about twenty minutes and we took pictures for another 30, and by then the sun had set and it was dark. Here are a few pics to give you an idea...

This is about halfway through the ceremony...

And this was directly after, around 5:30pm or so...

As you can see, it was still pretty bright out. Since you're getting married in October, I would think it was probably be even brighter. :headache:

HTH!

Thanks for the picture!! This actually makes me feel a lot better. I know sunset will be a little later for us, but the lighting in your picture is beautiful, not overwhelming (like what I was fearing). Thanks again!
