Wanted to start a discussion about the impact of Dorian on the Lighthouse Point project. Please feel free to post any comments, theories or facts to the thread.

While the likely impact to the location was minimal since the storm was further away there are other factors. Priority should be the safety and well being of those impacted by the storm on Abaco and Grand Bahama. Since building on the islands generally means limited resources at any one location, do you think the project could see delays due to logistics of crews, materials, etc.?

Since nothing has been done at all yet other than concept drawings and probably working on the presentation - and the government will only be approving it - my guess is minimal impact.

If anything when it does begin it will likely give much needed jobs.

Have to agree-much needed jobs and not sure about the impact on timing. Abaco and Freeport are devasted like nothing I have ever seen. But resources, if they are sparse, I would hope would be provided to those with nowhere to live first.

I think the optics would be extraordinarily bad for DCL if they started construction on Lighthouse Point without simultaneously throwing around some serious cash, as well as Disney’s considerable logistical resources, toward recovery efforts.
