Does anyone know an approximate cost for the Build Your Own Light Sabers? I saw them in Tomorrowland last time and the boys wanted them. I might acquiesce on the next trip.

Also does anyone know how to get that thing on a plane?

I want to say about $25, but our kids made theirs a few years ago, so I'm not positive. The saber part is telescoping, so it's actually not that big. We just put them in our checked bags to fly home.

I was thinking about the same - maybe $29.95 or less. As for the plane, it's not a real light saber, so not likely a problem....hee hee, ho ho, ha ha.....

Actually, go on the TSA website. There is a "when I fly, can I bring my:" link (or something like that). Type in light saber. Someone at the TSA has a sense of humor.

Ha! That's funny!

Yeah, I wasn't worried about the weapon part, I'm concerned if it comes apart enough to go into luggage. I do NOT want a 9-yr-old and a 6-yr-old in an airport or on a plane messing with assembled light sabers!

I checked my daughters' sabers and one was 20 inches and one was almost 23 at its shortest assembled length....but easy to unscrew and remove blade, making it half as long. In other words, easy to fit in a suitcase or backpack.

We were able to pack my son's double light saber in his suitcase as well.
