I was just thinking last night, what if Disney offered a "life-time pass" with a DVC membership. Say the pass sold for $2,500 or $5,000 each :confused3 would you buy it? The pass would be a hopper pass for the length of your DVC membership.

Just curious.

for 2500 - SOLD - especially as it would be a great baby gift wouldn't it???

ETA: What is the yearly cost of an annual pass????

Count me and DH in.....and, when any little AllyandJacks are born, count them in, too. :flower:

For $2500- definetly! With the cost of the yearly pass about $400, it would
only take about 6 years to offset it.

Without hesitation. That would be awesome. WDW did this when the park first opened, right? Ah the lucky few with those passes!! Heck, I"m just dreaming of having DVC some day!! :)

Yeah, what would happen if you got banned? Would it become invalid? Would the DIS profit off every sale?

I wouldn't want to buy into anything inextricably tied to a website and message board.

No way.

Of course there would be restrictions, for example the right to revoke or a photo I.D. needed. I don't know what made me think of this, but when I did I thought, "Wow, I would do that in a heartbeat!" So, if this idea does come to light, I guess I'll have to re-read that copyright law. Of course I could be bought for 4 family passes :rotfl2:

I also figured it would be a win/win. It would be a win for us the guest, but also a win for Disney. A one time offer could bring in a lot of cash. Of course they would break even in the long run, they may lose on some annual passes but I would think the money they make on concessions would offset that loss. Plus I think people would use their points more and even buy more points.

Just a thought

Edited original post to change from DIS to DVC.

Not tied into the web site, but the Disney Vacation Club.

A club I belong to has a lifetime membership that is sold for 10 times the price of the current yearly membership, I bought a lifetime membership back in 1985 and it was worth it. So using that sort of pricing I would expect the price to be $5,484.90($548.49X10). This is the proce for the Premium Anual Passort and all things considered that's what I would expect them to sell. If it's just the normal one it'd be $4,206.80.

I don't think I'd buy one. It's really just abit too high for me to spend right now. But if yoyu've got the spare cash it's a great investment vs inflation.
