Have you ever been sucked into watching a "bad" Lifetime movie? My DH laughs at them and the walks out of the t.v. room. Right now I am watching a 4 hour "bad" Lifetime movie with Farrah Fawcet.........

I think it is a fun way to wind down on a VERY hot August day after a crazy week!:cool2:

My mom and I used to spend hours on Saturdays watching the bad lifetime movies! It was one of our favorite things to do. We should really get back into that - it was fun.

Is there such thing as a good Lifetime movie? :confused3 They all have the same formula. Woman star who has some terrible/tragic thing happen and then overcomes the adversity to the happyish ending.

ETA: This post was meant to be funny and didn't come out that way. I apologize (see post below)for posting while trying to fall asleep and managing to sound like a (w)itch in the process. I would remove it but it has already been quoted so that would be pointless. Instead I ask that you just ignore me and move on :teeth:

Are you watching Small Sacrifices? I believe that was on Lifetime today...isn't that based on a true story.

Didn't say they were Good...said they were fun:cool1:

Yes...that's what's on. I don't know if it was based on a true story. Have to look that up.

YES! :sad2:

Just a few weeks ago I watched one with Stockard Channing and Laura Dern. And it had such a horrible, sad ending too!!!

Sucked in is right! :lmao:

If you are watching the movie and a man appears on the screen, he is evil - True of almost all Lifetime movies.

Only watched one and it was pretty bad, only because I reconzied the actress from BTVS(it was Dru for the curious)

I'm going to try to remember to watch the Nora Roberts movies when they come on soon but other than that I dont' watch Lifetime too often. My husband just says open a vein and bleed out. You'll feel better quicker hehhee

Just woke up and read what I posted here earlier  I shouldn't post when I am halfway to napland!

SORRY!!! I was not trying to sound witchy/nasty. I was trying to be funny and somehow it didn't work:sad2: . DH and I joke about the Lifetime movies all the time. I will shut up now before I have to take my foot even further out of my mouth since I am still not quiet awake.

NEVERENOUGHWDW, I apologize for sounding so nasty on your thread. :flower3:

yep i've gotten sucked in to the lifetime channel a few times. I wish my grandmother was alive. She'd have loved that channel and believed every story. Only then she'd be worred about all her kids and grandkids and the evil bad men in their life.

I don't have cable, but I am getting the Nora Roberts movies when they come on DVD. I hope they aren't "bad." I love the books though, and heard the movies were decent, so I should enjoy them.

Angels Fall and Carolina Moon (or is it Montana Sky) come out on DVD on Tuesday. Then Blue Smoke and Montana Sky come out in about a month, the same day as the third season of Grey's Anatomy.

What's wrong with that? I like movies when the main character is a female and a strong role-model. I'm sick of all those action packed movies where it's the "damsel in distress" thing, to me, those are old-fashioned, and yet they're still made all the time.

Absolutely nothing is wrong with that. You posted while I was still trying to edit. Please see my foot in mouth apology added above.

I use to love sitting and watching Lifetime movies on a Sat. My DH would walk into the room and ask if I was watching "the man bashing channel"! That is what he use to call all the Lifetime movies.

Yes, Small Sacrifices is based on a true story. If my memory serves me, it's the story of a woman who shot her own children to be with a man who didn't want kids. :sad2:

I watch Lifetime more in the winter months but I believe I have seen almost every movie on there. One of my co-workers and myself will sit and talk about them sometimes. We laugh because she has seen almost all of them too. It actually is a good way to spend a dreary winter day.

I watched one once. It was with Markie Post, she was a mom who got addicted to herioin:eek: I think it was called Chasing the Dragon:confused3 It was horribly sad:sad2: I haven'y watched since

Some of those Lifetime movies are downright campy. My favorite one is Co-ed Call Girl starring Tori Spelling. It's so awful that it's good!
