Yes it did, but a lot of us didn't have it until the 70's!

Remember the horizontal hold! And No "clickers" (remotes) - get up change the channel!

I think it was called Body on Tap. It was shampoo with beer in it.

Wasn't Kim Bassinger the actress in that commercial? I know I shampooed with Body on Tap.

How about WDW Ticket Booklets with A, B, C, D and "E" tickets? I still have some leftovers from our first trip in 1975. No "E" tickets left though.

I graduated in 1970 and I feel really really old here!! Like, ya know, I member' everything everyone has mentioned...How Cool is that? Funny thou', most of these fads are back again! My teen wears bell bottoms all the time! Yikes!

I remember looking back at my Woodstock pictures and listening to Janis Joplin, Hendricks and the rest of those Great artists!

Hey, hey!!! What about those groovy Famolare shoes?

And don't forget that every school dance ended with the song "Stairway To Heaven" and that awkward transition from the slow part to the fast part.

Anyone remember the "flatsy" family?

Enjoy your youth it flies by.

As for the list...

We have Bill Cosby Albums
We hae the King Tut album (yes, not Walk like an Egyptian)
We had 8 Tracks
My husband is still an Abba fan (I'm not, YUCK!)

Stairway to Heaven or Donna Summers Last Dance were the last dances in school dances (this still continued until I graduated high school in 1988!)

We also had brown earthenware dishes/plates. It was dark brown on bottom with lighter brown on top...

OK, I'm not proud of this...but I saw the Bay City Rollers live. and I'm a guy :o

I have so enjoyed this thread this morning! I graduated in 1977. No one has mentioned "Bread". I swore that the first daughter I had would be named Aubrey. The week of my 10 year class reunion I had a daughter named Aubrey!

What about Twice as Nice Shampoo? It had conditioner in it. You shook the bottle before you shampooed and got conditioned at the same time. I think that was in the 70's.

What about Strawberry Hill, Annie Greensprings, PBR, drive-in theaters, smock tops, blue eye shadow on your eyelid only. I have natural curly hair so I spent most of my high school career trying to straighten it.

What were the airplane type things that came in packages like baseball cards but were shaped liked hot dogs, etc?

Remember when sneakers or "gym shoes" looked like this?

Converse1.1blkd.jpg

I had a '72 yellow VW with a bumper sticker "Say Goodbye Dick"
that everytime I got gas, no matter where, they guy would always ask the relevence of it. I don't think anyone really thought that NIxon would resign.
Peasant blouses that I recently found in the attic and gave to DD 13, who loves them. and can say they are originals.
Platform shoes, which were ridiculous to start with, but I am 6 feet tall, so made me REALLY ridiculous!
Music:Arlo Guthrie, Allman Brothers, Clapton (Derek and the Dominoes...........Layla)

We had velour flocked wall paper on the wall of the stairway. My mom used to tell me not to run my hand along it as I walked upstairs because it would rub the stuff off.. it of course was an avocado green paisley type print.

My best friend and I used to play with Barbies winter cabin that folded out from a case that looked like a Barbie clothes carrier.

I went to a concert in the 6th(?) grade with my school and KC and the Sunshine Band were playing and I remember getting up and singing along. (Thats the way, uh huh, uh huh, I like it!)

I remember Bicentennial Day and wearing this red white and blue dress that I thought was very cool at the time.

I also wore a Gunny Sack dress for my Prom.. thought it was ridiculously expensive at around $100 and my mom almost didnt buy it for me.

Im sure I will think of more...
