Has anyone had the lifeguard position? I'm really interested, but I'm a little nervous. Also, what is the costume/uniform like? Is it just a swim suit? On the E-Presentation the girl was wearing a t-shirt and shorts, is that right? I have a small tattoo on the back of my shoulder. Even in a regular suit it's not always visible, but I wouldn't want to risk it... Should I even bother? :confused3

I have been accepted as a lifeguard and while I haven't done the program, I think that the tattoo could be an issue. They did make it a point to ask me if I had any tattoos that are visible in a suit. I don't have any, but considering they asked about it, it could be an issue.

I would still try for it. I've seen cast members who had tattoos on the top of their feet and had bandages over it to hide it. You might just have to do the same. Worst comes to worst, you get an alternative position.

At the ICP interviews they mentioned that if you have tattoos that are visible in a bathing suit you cant do lifeguard.

Ok, I won't risk it then. I really don't think it would be an issue, but I do NOT want to be the person who shows up completely against Disney policy expecting work. :rotfl:

I'm not sure how up to date it is, but on another board I found a chart that appears to be from a manager or whatnot listing all the roles and such and what tattoos are okay (able to be covered) and what tattoos can be covered in makeup for what role, and i think for lifeguard as long as the tattoo is 2x2 or smaller and can be covered by makeup it's permissible, but if at any point if gets wet and smudges and can be seen through the polo, you need to get a new shirt.

Basically, tell the recruiter and explain if its small and can be covered, and i wouldn't let this deter you from listing it as your first choice. You never know. :)

So it is a polo? That's cool, I'll ask her in my interview. And do you have the link to that list by any chance?

Thanks!

if you message me your email I can send it to you, I have it saved, I completely forget where I found it, it was a board that's not very active that's all I remember
