We are going on the magic in just about a week. My DD7 has her own flippers and mask for snorkeling (we are in the Great Lakes State afterall). Our question is: Can we just rent or borrow a vest at Castaway Cay or should we plan on bringing our own?

One more thing to pack.

They had the inflatable vests for rent or loan everywhere we went.

The vests are required for snorkeling (not swimming) on Castaway Cay, and they are free of charge. You can just walk up and get them from the same place snorkels are rented. The vests can be inflated, but don't have to be.

Have a great time!

we just came back... vests were available, for no charge, at every lifeguard stand on the beach. They had many in both small and large sizes.

What about beaches at other ports? We will be bringing snorkels and masks for ourselves and our kids; has anyone noticed if we can rent the vests separately and about what they might cost?

Thanks for all of the input. It sounds like one less thing we need to pack!
