Do people agree with me I would like those nice bosses at Disney to offer us a pass that lasts our lifetime of our membership. I vacation 14 days straight only leaving the parks for a quick shopping spree. This would be a good idea if it could be linked to our dues bill annually. I can but dream. PS We travel from Scotland and buy the LOS.

I agree with you completely!!! I wonder how much they would charge us though? Might still be worth it if you ask me!

My dh was just joking about this....he definitely wants lifetime passes! I can only imagine how much they would cost.....in the $5,000 to $10,000 range maybe...for each guest? actually I think that would be quite a deal.....

Perhaps they could offer these solely to DVC members...or even out of state DVC members since FL residents are still probably better off with what they get now.

And Disney can finance the cost and make even more from the deal!

They have no motivation to offer a lifetime pass, especially for DVC members. They know we are already coming to WDW for the next 40 years and they know will will always buy park passes. For the price they would charge,I'd rather buy more points and spent more time in Florida. What would be nice, ( and it is do-able) is an evening pass into epcot for the purpose of eating diner at one of the up-scale resteraunts. It would be on the order of a FastPass ticket, issued at your resort lobby with proof of a PS. If you entered the park and didn't honor your PS, they would bill your room a specified fee.

A lifetime, Disney wide pass. Good at all current Disney parks (including the partner parks like Tokyo), and any to be added in the future!

I'm sure they have at least considered it. Its true that they have us for 40 years, but by collecting from us now, they would have use of those funds now. The question is, do they think they can make better use of the capital then they will get through price increases at the parks. Of course, it would all depend on the price charged for the pass.

Also keep in mind that the more attractive it is for us to visit WDW, the less likely we are to use our points through member getaways, the Concierge collection, etc. If I'm using my points in Hawaii, I'm not buying Disney food and shopping in Disney stores.

When you use the Getaways program or II either someone exchanged with you or Disney gets to rent a room for the point equivalent that you used. So whoever the person taking your place is most likely spending lots of money.

Just for the record, if you're staying more than 12 nights, a premium AP works out cheaper. And if you stagger your trips, you'll get two trips for the price of one pass...

We were at OKW from Dec 17 to Jan 03, and we were told that the premium annual pass was the best deal for us,this worked out at around $1311 for 2 adults and 1 child,i don't think i got a member's discount on this.As we come from the uk we don't tend to go to Florida more than once a year usually so the annual pass is very expensive for us.Last Xmas the weather was so cold we only went to the park's on 5 occasions and did'nt get our money's worth out of those passes. We were not eligible for length of stay passes as we were staying at Disneyworld for more than 13 nights.I would love to see lifetime passes (at least for the length of your dvc member lifetime anyway)linked to paying with your annual dues.
