Can I get a WHOOP WHOOP! (Or maybe a BOO BOO?)
...yeah, that was the lamest joke in Mickey history.

Consider this my first fully functioning PTR, coming from the wild and wonky farming grounds of PA. Our second trip this year, and possibly the last for a long time, it's a be-all-end-all kind of trip, and I'm sparing no (semi-rational) expense. Which means...

Costumes! My first MNSSHP! What the HECK am I going to dress as?!
Disneybounding each day? Challenge accepted! ...I might need to go shopping.
MagicBands! Magical Express! Pixie Dust! Starting to see a trend in here?
Did I mention we only have TWELVE DAYS until the Mouse welcomes us back to his house?!

But before we leap into the 12-day countdown, maybe I should get into some deets.

Alas, I'm finally showing my face on the boards! To those who have spotted my tiny account the last few months (I'm sure Lurkyloo must be going bonkers with all the cake questions I keep hammering away with in the Cake Thread... LOL) AliceandAriel is my username, born out of love for my two favorite Disney characters of all time. But outside of the DISboards, I'm Alivia. Currently I write for a living, spinning Teen and Young Adult fiction, and dabble in a little graphic design on the side in some secret hope a big publishing firm like Little Brown would spot me and hire me out for cover work. Hey, a girl can dream, right?

Little known bits of me: I'm 22, and have a deathly unhealthy obsession with Disney. My parents fed me a diet of princess VHS' coupled with summer camps like 'The Little Mermaid' camp, which of course in turn inspired me to have collector dolls, overalls with Ariel on the front, a pink Jasmine costume in Pre-School, you know, all the fun stuff little girls go through. Growing up, I told anyone who would listen that I was going to become a mermaid. When patiently told that was impossible, I now deftly point to WDW! I met Ariel, they can't fool me!

Of course, happy moments come with sad moments, too. For my first day of Kindergarten, I was presented with a special Jasmine doll dressed in red. Fell asleep with her, only to wake the next morning in horror as her head accidentally fell off overnight. How's that for trauma with a 6-year-old? I'm still freakish about handling dolls...

Moving on!

This minion, while adorable, is in place of where I would normally plaster my boyfriend's face. But, because I haven't exactly asked him about sharing his face online, the minion will have to stay for now. Doesn't mean I can't tell you about this amazing, wonderful, teddybear of a man named Tim.

Little known bits of him: He's only a tad older than me, having just turned 23. (He's got about 6 months on me, grumble.) While not completely bit by the Disney dream, he loves going just to see me smile from ear to ear. He's much more of a Walking Dead, Universal, Daft Punk listening sort of guy. When he's away from League of Legends, that is.

Happily, we're visiting the Mouse from October 27th to November 1st.
Want to know what that means?
We'll be one of the first to meet Anna and Elsa in Norway!

Where are we staying? A Little Mermaid room in AoA, of course!
Unless we're upgraded to a LK room, which apparently has been happening a lot lately. Still not sure how I feel about that, yet. (Probably mention that more in the actual TR later.)

I know they say to not sweat the small stuff, but come on. It's Disney! The small stuff is just as important as the big stuff!

So far, our ADR list is looking pretty solid. Want a peek?

October 28th - Chefs de France
October 29th - The Plaza
October 30th - Be Our Guest & Cinderella's Royal Table
October 31st - Rose & Crown

We normally only book one real reservation in a single day when vacation planning at WDW. Our first trip, I made the silly mistake of making no rezzies... still reeling from that nightmare. Second time, I did one rezzie for each day, and it worked perfectly. Being just the two of us, we like to be spontaneous most of the day with things like breakfast and snacks, so we'll dine light until our reservation time, and then be set for most of the day.

However, I must have had Tink on my shoulder tonight, having scored a ADR for Cinderella's Table at the twelve day mark to our trip! I don't know what, or how, but all I know is, that sure was the perfect way to bring today about!

Outside of that, we're really down to the wire. Still have to pack, no real itinerary plans formed, and my fabric is staring at me like a challenge to tackle head on. So let's see some upcoming posts on how I handle the 12 day crunch to our magical adventure!
