I've had confirmation that the rail-tour that a few of us (absolutely insanely) at work organised last saturday, in support of The Railway Children raised £24,098.
We have been planning this event for more than a year, and everything went off without a hitch.
There were some massive hurdles to overcome (without BORING everyone into submission) certain trains can only go (or cant in this case) over certain routes. The monster we took High Speed Train (HST for short, can be found on wikipedia if you're interested
) is not 'passed' to go so we had to get special approval.
Everybody that crewed the train gave their time for free... or donated their wages for the day.
I'd like to say thanks again (surely one of the hundreds of people must've been a DISer) to everyone that helped and gave throughout the day!!!

A sight believed to have last been in 1994 (but certainly not in this area). 50019 Ramillies rescues 'failed' HST through the beautiful Norfolk countryside.
Just a few missing, but most of the people that staffed and organised the train.

in November, Jamie and Parker will come back to NJ and stay with her parents during the time of his deployment, so we'll get to know Parker a little better then.
