Nothing personal. But I am glad that I don't have to hear about them any more this season. Sorry to you fans, but I am thrilled!

ABSOLUTELY BBLady: Where have you been? They won and they WON BIG 8-3 and actually is was 8-0 until the 7th inning than 2 more runs in the ninth inning BUT the TIGERS did it YES THEY DID!!!! :thumbsup2

Bye Bye YANKS.... :wave2:

Good news! :thumbsup2 I like to see other teams get their chance. I hope the Mets get in, that will tick off the Yankee fans even more.

With the Red Sox fans, me included, it is personal.

Hey K-Rod, don't let the door hit you in the azzzzz on the way out the playoff door.

I'm with ya! LOL

Me too!! Yessss!! :thumbsup2

I try not to take pleasure from others' misery, but I really do like to see the Yanks lose. And to see the Tigers beat them is just about as satisfying as a Mickey bar ona hot day. :teeth: I LOVE the talk about breaking up the Yanks... K Rod's last at bat in pinstripes? Torre gone? Sheffield waived? It's gonna be a fun season for the hot stove league. Of course, I think the answer for the Yankees is to go out a spend a whole lot more money than they are spending now.

Yankees suck. Long live the Confederacy! Woo hoo! Oh, wait... wrong Yankees?

Either way. Steinbrenner is the antichrist. All Yankees players are lesser imps or demons.

I no longer really follow baseball after the last strike and due to the lack of a level playing field (i.e. salary cap), but I grew up a Braves fan - before they were good. Back in the Bob Horner and Dale Murphy days.

But now until baseball gets a salary cap like the NFL so that any team can have a legitimate chance of winning if they get the right players, instead of the same 4 or 6 teams and one or two lucky teams per year in the postseason every time, I could care less.

YUP - another person glad to see that money can't always buy the best team!!!

Don't worry. They will probably add another 25 Million to the payroll next year! :)

Congrats to the Tigers! If the Cards don't make it all the way, the Tigers are who I'll cheer for, sadly because I've had a mad crush on Andy Van Slyke since I was 10 years old. (So that would be for 23 years.) I actually told him that a few years back when he was at Winter Warmup (an annual Cardinals event), and the look on his face was priceless. Well, now he knows how old I felt when one of the younger players called me "ma'am," for Pete's sake. :rotfl:

I am so happy to hear the Yankees lost. My dh is even happier to hear they lost! :woohoo:
It was getting too much year after year of them  . Give someone else a chance now to go to the World Series :thumbsup2

Boy I sure do remember those days- The Braves were SO BAD back then, but it was fun going down to Atlanta-Fulton Co Stadium- and being able to sit anywhere you wanted! I remember in one game where Bob Horner hit FOUR home runs in a game! (and The Braves still lost!!)

I watched that game. Bob Horner, of the Japanese League! Don't sell those Braves short, though. As I recall, they won the West in 82.
