Life’s too short...to never sleep in a treehouse! 8/27 TR is up! Link in siggie

thank you for sharing your memories with us! :goodvibes

How can you not love men who wear lederhosen and kilts?:rotfl2:

You truly have an awesome family! Kilts, lol--I love it! It's funny how Disney holds so many clear memories for us.

Exactly! A bit more frightening that they own it but lord knows they have fun with it all.

Poignant. Very, Poignant.

Agree with Cherie... now I know where you got that nice one you made Jordy into a pin-up with. :lmao: (that was you, right? Now I'm not so sure it was you... I went back to look and can't find it at all!)

Clearly, it is not MacLoed, which is mine, and butt ugly! I wish I could win the binder layout- drat! Give us another $1,000,000 question.

Yep, that was me. The liederhosen was too complicated, I gave up. It's a lot easier when there aren't hats involved.

Nope. Not McLoed.

I will give you a hint. The 2 on the left The Blue/Green (hunting) and the Red (everyday) ones are our "main" plaid. I'm not sure what Phillip (on the right) is wearing, I'm going to have to ask my dad about that one.

The kids are velcro and just something generic, we got them for my dad's 70th.

those are men who could wear kilts! I would look like a girl....

See and I thought you looked fabulous! Not very Scottish though....

The term "computer bug" comes from an incident when an insect got into an early computer and shorted it out. .....imagine the terms we'd have if they had let kids around computers in those early days.

:rotfl:

Nope!

And :welcome:

Oh, man, I thought I had it. I spent hours on this today trying to figure it out. I MEAN I was working. Working really hard at work, and I only did this during my execptionally brief lunch. Yeah.

Awww, rats! Impressive effort though.:thumbsup2

Seriously?? Who'd have known! Hilarious... and yes, be even funnier around my family... just sayin'...:lmao::lmao:

I love your last update. It really strikes me because I've been to Disney with my Ex twice and it was horrible. Our first trip we drove down with his some of his family members. :scared1: We threatened to go home at one point it was so bad. Then the second trip was our ill fated honeymoon. I remember sitting at MGM at the time and sobbing on a bench realizing the huge mistake I had made. I think that is why Marc & I's first trip down together last year was the best ever. :lovestruc I just love your outlook on your upcoming trip! :goodvibes

I used to get vertigo from inner ear things all the time in my Aquatic Supervisor days. Back then I had to jump in and out of the pool so often my poor ears took forever to heal. Even though it's been over a decade I've been afraid to do a cruise in case it came back. Good to hear you've done another cruise and didn't experience the vertigo again.

Thanks for sharing your stories --- isn't it strange how Disney can be central in a whole range of memories for all of us? I just find it amazing. Like I never really realized how much "Disney" I had in my own house, until I started really paying attention!

Love the Tartan. Won't take a guess, I have been to Edinburgh a few times and in those Tartan shops where it is a wall covered in various patterns!!! It can make your head spin!

Totally awesome update! I love getting the backstory! It's so much more enjoyable when you know just what the trip means to someone. Some TR's seem to treat a trip to the World like a weekend outing to the mall food court. Nice, and good for a change, but common and nothing truly extraordinary. How awesome it is when you discover just how magical an experience it can be for those who, in my mind, truly get it.

Thank you for sharing your memories. I feel blessed to have read them, highs and lows.

The tartan clan colors are so hard!! Boy Scouts get to claim a clan - family, brothers in scouting after all...

and we are a Mc family...

I see 3 different clan colors - I see a Brodie,maybe a Bruce (which makes sense!) or Wallace - a definate Scott's red...

the sporrans are great btw!

The blessing of the bad, is it REALLY makes you appreciate the good! I'm so happy you are in the "good" now!

That is such a perfect way of putting it. It's like reading an itinerary but not much more.

Nope....only 2 clans, the plaid is actually the same in two of them but in different colors. There is the everyday tartan and then the "hunting one" and they are always different colors but the same pattern.

You gotta love a good sporran....just shows you how long the murse has really been around!

A miracle.

Really, truly, no other word for it.

Ron went in for his PET scan on Monday.

The results are in.

The mass is GONE.

GONE.

Not just smaller.

GONE.

The doctor was just as stunned as he was. Not what anyone was expecting. He has a few nodules that they want to see again.

IN THREE MONTHS!

I am speechless.

Humbled.

Grateful.

Thank you ALL.

Next. Stuffing Stockings!

That is fantastic news and I'm sure such a relief to your family!!!!! Definitely will still keep him in our prayers!!!!!

WOW! That's absolutely amazing and a true miracle! What a relief!

Christmas is coming!

But my wallet isn’t fat!

I’ve been a busy beaver plotting my ho ho ho’s. And trying to do it a bit leaner than in the past. So I'm making T's and hitting the $9.99 DVD sale!

Although our trip is quite a ways away, a little bit of Disney just makes everything brighter!

I’m making T shirts for the boys and for all the women in my family. We haven’t landed on which design yet but so far I’ve come up with these…

Next. Nuts. But in a good way!

What awesome news! Praise God for His healing!

And as far as the thin wallets, I know exactly what you mean. The girls were looking at new bicycles Friday night and I was thinking about how much money's worth they would get from them. We are getting Toy Story Mania for the kids, as well.
