Liberty Tree Tavern

LTT is our favorite at MK. The menu at Skippers doesn't appeal to us. I'm also a proponent of trying new places each trip, so I would also vote LTT since you've already done Skippers.

LTT is all you can eat and they give you a ton of options. We had a great meal there in October, tables were well spaced, food was plentiful. We even both got our own Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake, which is the best part!

If you are looking for something new and haven’t tried LTT give it a shot. It’s certainly not bad and worth trying.

We had the same debate at our house this past weekend: LTT vs. Skipper Canteen. We've done both and liked them. With LTT now a fixed-price AYCTE, we decided it might not be what we wanted. Our decision, based on menu items we wanted = Crystal Palace. We were shocked - hadn't even been considering it and found the menu by clicking the wrong thing. COVID has changed so much about dining - we discovered that checking current menus is necessary. Good luck and enjoy either way!

We ate there in Dec and it wasn't very good. When we could order off the menu at lunch time years ago, it was pretty good.
I also miss the lunch menu!
I had LTT booked for dinner at MK closing time on my next trip, but I canceled it in favor of Whispering Canyon Cafe. I thought my boyfriend would like the AYCTE skillet there better than the Thanksgiving style food at LTT.

LTT used to be one of my favorites because THANKSGIVING every day. Until I ate there when I was pregnant. Turned me off forever. I vote Skipper Canteen.

Leave the park and walk to the Wave. Less crowded, less rushed, better food.

We have eaten at both places numerous times....if you like all you can eat served on a platter then LBT is great, Skippers Canteen is off a menu with a lot of choices... we haven't had a bad meal at either one.
My kids love Liberty Tree Tavern

Skippers was one of the worst meals I've ever had on property. Just my opinion though.

Debating if my boyfriend and I want to make a reservation here.

it’s between this and skipper canteen (we’ve eaten there and my boyfriend wasn’t too impressed, but we know what to expect)
Basically the question is - do you want a thanksgiving meal or not. We ate there during out November trip and seeing we were there for thanksgiving week we wanted a thanksgiving meal. It is good food but nothing that will impress you. The dessert is always the highlight. It is only the patriot feast so you don't get to choose anything else, but there is a lot offered with the meal. At least at Skipper canteen you can each choose what you want. -- Have you considered leaving the park for lunch? The only reason i say this is the Wave at the Contemporary is amazing and worth the short walk. It certainly is doable if you want to get out of the tightened crowds in the afternoon. Maybe grab a late lunch or early dinner.

I'm headed back to WDW this summer for the firs time in 9 years. LTT is a must on our list. It's always been our favorite. After all those nuggets and burgers, a Christmas/Thanksgiving meal is the best!
