Hi, I am taking my first solo trip to Disney next year, been loads of times before but always with a group
Do you think it would seem strange to eat at Liberty Tree Tavern alone with the meal being served family style ?
The menu looks good & it is one of the only table service restaurants I haven't eaten at in the Magic Kingdon

I'm doing this next month with no worries. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I have done it and it worked well for us. We only had 6 people and we had fun. We always frequent this place on our trips.

I have eaten there by myself, no problems. Life is too short to put off doing what you want just because you happen to be doing it alone :goodvibes

Have fun !!!

Try it for lunch, you get to order your entree from the menu. We almost always do Liberty Tree for lunch so we can order exactly what we want. The food has always been great there and it has become a must do each trip for us.

Go for it. Dinner is family style, but the portions for each dish are based on the number of people at each table. And since it's family style, if you want more of something, you just have to ask.
I love LTT for lunch OR dinner, and would go by myself in a heartbeat.:thumbsup2

Lunch at LTT is one of my favorite meals at WDW. Colony salad with Ooey Gooey toffee cake for dessert-Mmmmm!

I always do LTT for lunch, it's one of my favorites. But, I wouldn't have any problem doing the dinner solo.

I should add that I was also a bit wary of doing the dinner until I found out I wasn't sitting with complete strangers sharing the platters. I have done the Biergarten which was great as the food was buffet. So I got to meet interesting people but not worry about food issues.

I have done the dinner alone and it was fine. Instead of individual dishes, they serve all the food on one big platter. It was great! Unfortunately, my husband and I ate there in April and the food was not as good. Then, our son ate there last month and the food was below par. We will try it again but maybe, will do lunch.

In my (day) dreams I've eaten there by myself and everything was wonderful. Then I "woke up" to my family sitting around arguing about what they will and will not eat and whether dessert is a "must do" or overkill, etc.

Enjoy your meal, I know I would.

Thanks that really sounds like a good idea but do you feel like going on rides after a large meal at lunch ?, saying that it didn't bother me after a chef mickeys beaksfast so really something to consider

That was what I was worried about I went with another person last year to the Aloha & hoop de Doo review & the 2 of us got the same amount as food as the tables of 4 , not the greatest problem in the world lol but then I get paranoid that someone is watching how much you eat

oh that is something I would hate sharing with complete strangers, different if you have spoken/written with the person before but a complete stranger is a different matter- I am not that confident at the best of times

I just want to add to the support group in favor of you going alone! Do it, have fun and eat as much as you want! WOOT!

That's never been a problem for me, but come to think of it I'm not into "thrill" rides, like EE, RnR, ToT, etc.
