Anyone been to Liberty Tree Tavern since they reopened? Did you like it?
Thinking about trying it with DH, DS 4 and DS3.

Let me know in detail what you had and if it was a good experience.
Thanks

I have not been since they reopened, but LTT is always a good choice. The food is wonderful and all you can eat (for dinner anyway!)

They didn't change the food with the refurb.

Lunch is a la carte and it is our choice over dinner. Entrees are all good, but not excellent. The Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is our dessert of choice.

Dinner is a buffet and is sort of a traditional Thanksgiving meal. IMHO there are just too many other good things to eat at Disney other than turkey and pot roast, so we've never been for dinner. When they had characters, it made more sense and would have been a draw for us.

As the others have said, there were no substantive changes to the menus. Lunch is still a la carte, and we like several items on the menu. Dinner is not a buffet. It is a family style AYCTE meal with a fixed menu. We've done it a couple of times and it was OK, but we like BOGs dinner better.

We had a lunch and dinner at LTT this past December.
Hubby got the pot roast meal at lunch and was very pleased. He liked the home feel of the meal and its great flavor. I got the fish and chips and was disappointed. The flavor was okay but the fish was soggy not crisp battered.
Dinner was good. Salad and breads are brought out first. A platter of meats (turkey, pot roast, and two others), a small platter of roasted parsnips, green beans, and mashed potatoes, and a huge bowl of mac and cheese (tasted like a boxed or frozen type) were brought next. All tasted okay and was nothing to remember. Our shock was the volume brought to our table. We were a party of two and they brought us enough for a table of five....we could not eat even half. We did ask if we could take the leftovers and told no (kinda expected that due to being a family style buffet). We suggested that the plates be delivered for the party size in the future and were told that was too difficult for the kitchen to accomplish. Meanwhile the wasted food would be gathered and sent to a pig farm!!

We had dinner there in December as well and enjoyed it. Totally agree that the serving brought out for 2 people was a little ridiculous but the food was good.

We love it. It's a must do for dinner when we go and it's DH's favorite place to eat. I do miss when it was a character meal though.

We go for the family style dinner every time we visit. We are a family of 5 and the amount of food is perfect for us. My kids love the mac and cheese. My favorite is the thin sliced pot roast and turkey. I like the home cooked feel of the meal and the fruit cobbler with ice cream for desert is really good.

Love LTT for lunch, hate it for dinner. Lunch = good, hot food. Dinner = TV Dinners.

Aren't they serving the same kinds of meats at dinner as they are for lunch? I was thinking I had read that the pot roast and turkey are now served for dinner. If so, that might make the family-style dinner more appealing?

They did change dinner. Before the remodel, they used to serve a sliced skirt steak. Now it's pot roast. The cranberry sauce was also changed. This used to be a "must do" for DH. Now, it's a "meh" for him. If we go back, fine. If we don't, also fine. Haven't had lunch there since they re-opened.

This. My plain eating parents think its the best place on the planet (so if you have family members of a similar persuasion then this place will be a favorite). But for me, there is so much better options in The World than carved turkey, and mac and cheese.

I did. We went for lunch in December
Not impressed. We won't return.
We all had different things and none were thrilled enough to return. I liked our meal at The Plaza more
I had the fish and as already reported, it was awful. I also got the salad with their buttermilk dressing and it was bland and just awful.
DH got the burger and it was typical QS burger and not very flavorful
DD pasta with chicken and it was rather bland
I think DGD may have also gotten fish but now I'm drawing a blank.

We went for lunch in December and had the same opinion. Our food was cold, but I had to chase down a different server because our was gone like the wind. It was clear he was annoyed we split two pot roast meals between three women. WE will not go back.

DH and I went last week and really enjoyed it. We'd never been before the refurb so can't compare, but we thought the food was good quality and there was certainly enough of it--even the initial offering was more than enough for us.

Was there last year for dinner and we really enjoyed it. There's still something to be said for good, old fashioned, simple foods, and their all you can eat thanksgiving style dinner is absolutely perfect for that. The meat selection, particularly, was just the right amount of tender, not tough at all. It's not complicated. It's hearty and filling. Definitely going back again on our next trip.

TIP: Ask for rolls with lunch... they don't provide it by default but will give it to you...

One of our favorites... on the 2017 list!!!

Interesting. My DH and I split the turkey entree for lunch, and they even divided it for us and served extra portions of sides. It did not seem like a problem at all. We had great service and left full. I wonder if it depends on the server. We are trying the whole split-a-meal experience there again in June. It's one of my DH's favorite restaurants in WDW. Comfort food is one of my favorite types of foods, so I love it, too.

This was the only time we have ever been ignored this way. I assumed it was dur to the split, but perhaps the server was just having a bad day.

My DDIl has had GBP surgery and eats like a bird. WE split two meals between three of us several times when we went in December and it worked out really well.
