Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I booked lunch at LTT a while back because of the pot roast being really good there. I just happened to browse both allears and the WDW website and the only thing I can find is a kids portion at lunch time. Can anyone confirm? If it's not there I'll definitely be changing my adr's. Not a fan of their "Thanksgiving dinner". Thanks in advance.

Yup. There was a big thread recently about the changes they made to their menu and many people are very unhappy about it. In practice, some people have posted that they were able to order an adult serving of it, but I'm not sure if that's going to continue or not. We ended up canceling or lunch ADR for just a couple weeks out because I wasn't going to take the chance and not be able to order what we wanted. They changed our salad and dropped too many of the foods we liked before.

Wow! I thought I was just missing it somehow. I always thought that was one of their most popular items? Dang it...now I have to change things....ugh!

Contact Disney to tell them you are unhappy with the menu change.

Our last trip mid-November, the waitress told me that they would give me the potroast off the old menu.

We were there in Nov.....very limited menu. A manager was going around and taking feedback, she got my very negative one.
The menu is the AYCTE Pilgrim Feast, Colony Salad with salmon, burger and vegetarian pasta. That's it.
We cancelled out ADR for Jan.

I've seen a "vegetarian pasta" mentioned a couple times since the menu change, but the WDW website shows pasta with chicken and pasta with shrimp. Obviously, one could get it without the animal proteins, and assuming there's no stock in the sauce, it looks like it could be made vegetarian. Is it more explicitly described as a vegetarian pasta (to which one may add chicken or shrimp) on the menu at the restaurant? TIA.

Wonder why they would remove it? We really enjoyed the pot roast in June 2015. In June 2016 it was totally different and we were disappointed. We weren't sure if it was a change in the recipe or just an "off" meal. Did anyone else think it had changed? Would be sad to see it off the menu completely.

We have cancelled our ADR for December as we don't want AYCTE at lunch time, and we certainly don't want to pay $33 at lunchtime for food we won't eat much of. I sent an email to the manager to voice our objections to the changes.

They dropped some of the menu and added the dinner meal to it ...

I wouldn't be surprised if they moved to an all day menu at some point.

I had it in June 2016 and I thought it tasted the same, but the portion seemed smaller.

I've heard that this is the plan and they did this to begin the move in that direction.

It really is the only thing that makes sense (although Disney doesn't always make sense to us) when you offer such a limited menu, of which one item is the dinner meal. I don't know why they didn't just bring it back on line changed in full after the renovation.

I was so disappointed in the menu changes (removal of several good dishes and no vegetarian option available) that I cancelled our Christmas Day lunch.

I got a survey about LTT in my email. They must be looking deeper into it. I didn't qualify for more questions because I had canceled my ADR and didn't actually eat there, but it seems they are sending out surveys to those who ate there. So, maybe some changes to the old in the future (hopefully).

1) Cost.
2) Eateries get a contracted price for DDP reimbursement.
3) When costs go above a certain percentage of the reimbursement, menu items have to change.
. . . the item is removed
. . . the item portion size is reduced
. . . the ingredient or ingredients are exchanged for cheaper ones
. . . etc
4) Restaurant managers and chefs are still responsible for maintaining a profit margin.
5) Profits talk, guest opinions walk.

The all-you-care-to-eat meal has a higher menu price than ordering off the old a la carte lunch menu. So its not simple cost issues. They probably do make more money on those paying cash as the all-you-care-to-eat is more expenvie but less labour intensive to prepare. But for DDP reimbursement its probably no better.

All I know is that I'm getting really tired of Disney skimping out on everything in the food department and yet still somehow raising prices on everything under the sun. They're starting to price me out of my vacations.
