Tony's is just OK, IMO, kind of like a second rate Olive Garden.
LTT is somewhat better - you certainly get a lot more food for your money. It's kind of like Thanksgiving in there everynight. Turkey, plus sliced beef and all the trimmings.
LTT, Tony's was our least fav meal last week. It was just OK. We will not be going back though, there are other places that are much better. Nothing bad happened, everyone ate their meals, we had a great server, just not the best meal out of 7 TS that we did. LTT was delicious. We did the lunch and everybody loved everything. Really good food.
If it was for dinner I would probably have to go with Tony's. We loved LTT's lunch last time but I don't think we would be overly thrilled with the family style meal that is served at dinner. DH and I had a early dinner at Tonys in March and it was really good. DH said he thought it was better then the MM meal we had in Dec when we went.
Tony's is one of our least favorite TS restaurants at Disney. We have eaten there several times, and the food is mediocre at best. We had dinner at LTT in Sept, and thought the food was great. We didn't like how close together the tables were, but the food and service were good.
We liked LTT - it was nothing spectacular, but it was definitely good.
We ate at Tony's twice in the past several years. The first time it was ok, but didn't leave us w/any desire to go back. Several years later, we decided to give it another try. It was terrible. MY chicken parm tasted like they breaded and cooked a rubber chicken. We won't be giving it a 3rd try.
Had dinner at LTT in December and it was fantastic! Ate lunch at Tony's and won't be going back - nothing special there - second rate Olive Garden is a good description as used by the previous poster.
They are both fine restaurants... the big question is how "picky" you are with Italian food. Tony's is OK Italian...pizzeria Chicken Parm and such...there's nothing spectacular in it's Italian fare. If you have good local Italian food where you're from or are a good cook of Italian food yourself - chances are the food at Tony's will disappoint. If you're not looking for "specatacular" Italian dining it will be fine.
I really like Liberty Tree...it's very tasty and good ol' fashioned American fare. As someone pointed out tough, you need to OK with family style dining....
If I had my choice I would do LTT...If you haven't already you can check out the menus for both atr allearsnet.com.
I know you are looking at dinner, but I would take LTT for lunch. I would just have that meal be my big meal of the day. Even when on the dining plan we prefer Lunch at LTT to dinner at either place.
