My worry about LTT is that it's the family style thanksgiving dinner. I'm not American (I live here though) so I don't have any warm fuzzy feelings about this traditional dinner (no offence meant!) My DH makes me cook turkey with all the British Christmas trimmings at Thanksgiving, which would probably make my neighbors toes curl!! Mostly I hate mash potato, I don't mind my own, but most restaurant stuff really does not do it for me. If I served mash with a roast dinner I think DH would leave me!
How could mash be so offensive you ask? A lot to do with the fact that you could tell when my Dad was really hard up as we had a big pile of mash on our plate at dinner. He usually felt it necessary to leave as many hard lumps in it as he could. I took to feeding it to the cat, who felt, after awhile, it had lost it's novelty also. So I don't equate it to being something for a nice dinner out, not sure if that's just an English thing, or I'm just weird!! I find most of our restaurants around me aren't very creative with potatoes. There are more ways to serve them than mashed or fried!
Which brings me, eventually back to LTT vs Tony's. I wish they had just a smige more variety at LTT. I'm right in thinking it's not just turkey? Which is a start. So I'm trying to decide if the character interaction (going there before
MNSSHP) is worth it. What are the veggies served with it? Anyone have any pictures, that would be awesome.
DH has just looked over my shoulder and rolled his eyes..and I quote "Oh dear, she's on her mash rant again"
Okay I'm done now.
