We loved LTT when we went in July but we will not be returning due to the cancellation of characters at dinner. The food was fine, just nothing special to write home about.
Crystal Palace was EXCELLENT!!! The food was so delicious. The salmon was some of the best I've had. Excellent desserts too, plus soft ice cream! Character interaction is adorable, fun and wonderful! We WILL be returning to this one on our next trip for dinner. It's a restaurant I would eat at even if there were no characters. Beautiful atmosphere too!
Crystal Palace! LTT's food is so-so but the characters and setting made it a good choice. Without characters, I don't think I would eat there again. CP has very good food plus a nice setting and characters.
No more LTT for us without the characters. What a bummer!
DH LOVED the food there, and has been buying frozen Stouffer's mac and cheese ever since. He's not coming with us this trip, but insists we go back next time. HA, why? You already figured out you can make the mac and cheese at home!
Anyhow, DD and I are going to CP this time. Hope it's as good as everyone here says!!
I've never eaten @ LTT, but I have to give a vote to Crystal Palace. We ate lunch here last summer and absolutely loved it. The buffet had an excellent selection, and it was delicious. We also loved the theme of the place and would eat there again, even without the characters!
We've only done Crystal Palace for breakfast and love the breakfast (I prefer to skip dinner buffets); we've never done Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner--only lunch and it was very good. We usually do the Plaza for a late lunch/early dinner.
Without the characters LTT won't be on our list anymore. We ate there in 2007 with characters and had a great time, but it was the characters, not the food, that made the night. We had lunch at CP this year for the first time since 2000 and it was wonderful.....good food, good character interaction.....this will be on our list again for 2010.
We thought the food at LTT was much better at lunch while ordering off the menu. Not sure how they're going to do dinner with the characters gone, but if it's still the family-style, then we will skip it and go to Crystal Palace.
We DEFINITELY had a "good" Eeyore! I told him that he was my favorite character, and he wouldn't stop making "kissy" noises in my ear during the photos! I looked like a lunatic in the pics because I was laughing - that was really unexpected, and made the dinner just so memorable for us!
