Today's our 180 days! LTT (loved by some, hated by others) isn't available to book for dinner at all. Like the drop down to search is gone from the page, not like it's booked. Are they no longer open for dinner or is it a glitch in the system? Any ideas?

Are you looking on a day that might have a Halloween party?

Oh... yeah. That's probably it. So I guess no 5pm dinner before the party. Drat.

Thank you! I wouldn't have figured that out on my own.

That sounds unlikely to me. I'd keep checking or perhaps call.

It is possible that they are simply not opening up dinner reservations for the MK locations on party nights until the official announcement of dates.

I had the same experience last year. We wanted to go around 4:30pm before the Christmas party and there were no reservations at 180. They were released a couple of weeks later. I kept checking back and got a 4:45 reservation. Good luck!

Yes. That's what it is. When I called in, the CM said that they're not opening any MK reservations until tickets go up for sale.

Wow. I talked to 3 CM’s and they all told me that there would be no dinner seating to non party guests on party nights. Said they were doing this to help clear non party guests out. They said there would be a special dining reservation page for party guests for 6:00pm and later once tickets go on sale.

Correct. No party ticket, no dining during the party. Always been that way.

What they have done the last two years is
... have regular dinner hours for all restaurants
usually 4 pm until 6 or 6:15 pm.
... and then party dinner hours at only a few of the restaurants
that you had to have a party ticket ot eat,
... while closing the rest of the restaurants.
Last year was BOG, CRT and Crystal Palace for party
and you had to book via the party page to keep them distinct.

Now if they are closing the park at 6 rather than 7 just like they did for MVMCP
they may have found it's not worth opening a kitchen for 2 hours only.

I don't think we'll know for sure until they post the restaurants
that will be open during the party and show their hours.
Then we can check the ones that closed during the party
to see if they have any dinner hours.

Well it was kinda tricky ... you could book a 4, 5 or 6 pm up to the cut off time (think it was around 6:15 pm) and then you had to leave the park, and if you were at the back ones you would likely get escorted out. I think that is what is being asked ... are the TS restaurants not opening at all to non-party guests before the party?

Right now it looks like no restaurants are open at 4 pm ... so will no TS open at 4 pm, then wait until the party OR will they be open but you can only keep if you have a party ticket, or are they slow to load times on those days?

Will be very interesting if they do this ... and will make party folks happy ...

But it will really anger day guests already losing another hour in the park AND those restaurants are all losing 2 hours of income x all those parties. I have a hard time seeing this happen.

This is what I’m wondering as well. Our booking opens on Sunday and I’ve looked at August projected party dates and called to see what was going on. It looks like no TS restaurants will be doing reservations between 4-6. The cast members I have talked to said it’s to guarantee all non party guests will be cleared out of the park. I’m not sure if it will stay that way or they will change it. We planned to do our dinner at CRT on a party date but a different day then when we are doing the party. Who knows.

I should have clarified. They were stating that between 4-6, there will be no dinner available at all to regular guests.
That would be pretty notable and quite a takeaway. I can't imagine they could even fill every table in the MK with party guests during that time.

Completely agree with this. We have done every combination before; TS & QS in the park, TS & QS outside the park, big lunch and snacks the rest of the day ... but we have APs and never pressed those early hours. If they are still letting party guests in at 4 pm, my guess the majority of those guests are also using the party for those extra 3 hours of rides, not really to drop the big bucks on a TS meal other than those focused on CRT and CP - especially offsite guests. I would have said BOG but the new setup will change that demographic. Completely agree that you won't be able to fill every TS with party guests in those two hours.

I suppose if they have only a few open like they do during party time and close the rest for dinner period. Or maybe keep Tony's and Skipper open the extra couple hours since that is the same menu all day. I don't see LTT opening for 2 hours only for an all you can eat menu. Plaza could easily close early. But the more you keep open - just for party guests - the more likely they won't be full and you are keeping open a kitchen and staff ...

Will be interesting to watch how this plays out for sure.

I have dropped back to one party a year from two as the party is the virtually the same as it was a decade ago (except for Hocus Pocus) .... and we long ago stopped eating in the parks for dinner, a late heavier lunch is all we need and then we buy some of the special party snacks.

I just don't see Disney settling for less revenue from those locations. Either by making them party exclusive or by closing some of them even earlier than in the past.

Totally agree. EVERYTHING boils down to revenue.

But then it is Disney and they sometimes have a strange view of how things will play out ... which sometimes costs them dearly. Some they fix and get it right next time (DAH) and some things they screw up twice and walk away (Villains Event) ......... so we never know.
