Is the atmosphere just as fun and nice for lunch as it is for the dinner? I know dinner is a character meal. I was wondering if that is the main difference. Is the food as good? Is it even worth going for lunch? I don't know if I want to spend the money for the dinner.

Lunch is not family style like dinner is. You just order off the menu. I prefer the lunch menu rather than the limited dinner meal. My favorite is the William Penn Pasta. Just delicious. Here is a link to Allearsnet menu:

we always eat at the liberty tree tavern for lunch when we're in the MK! love the crabcakes appetizer and the turkey dinner!

Lunch at LTT is the best food in the MK. We have tried them all and love this place. Well, we havn't tried all the CS but the TS meals, nothing comes close. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

We always make sure we have lunch at LT once each stay. The menu is wonderful. Their pot roast is outstanding (tremendous portions) and their Cobb salad is just as wonderful (lighter fare). We have never been disappointed there. The resturant is quieter than dinner I'm sure, but still has a family atmosphere. Don't miss it.

We had lunch at LTT without even planning it. We ended up being near there and were hungry so we thought why not. It ended up being the best lunch I had the whole trip. I just loved the William Penn Pasta. It was absolutely delicious.

I loved it so much I asked my husband to make it for me while he was at work. ( He is a chef at a local restaurant). It was pretty close and made me feel like I was there again.

You have to try it if you are looking for a non character meal. It was great :thumbsup2

Is it as fun? Not really. Both we like the lunch menu a lot and hit it every trip. If you like that part of the park, LTT is a great spot to stop for lunch.

Food's better at lunch. Make sure and order the rolls. You have to "ask" for them now.

We like the lunch menu much better, but the characters are still too big a draw for my kids to resist! We are going there for dinner this summer. I just love the colonial costumes the character's wear. Especially Minnie! :cutie:

Glad to see this review, as our group has kinda outgrown the character meals. The menu looked really good but personal experiences are always better. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know the hours for lunch?

We had lunch there on our visit to MK in November, and I would recommend it to anybody!

I went with DD14 ("Miss Picky-Eater"). She had the Tavern fried cheese and half of her cheeseburger, and she loved them. I had the crab cake appetizer and the other half of DD's cheeseburger, and found them both to be excellent!

LTT is a lovely restaurant, visually, and it was nice to get away from the crowds just for a little bit...The service was very fast, and we were amused by the server bringing a refill drink quickly after the first was barely done, and without us asking for the second drink...

We had ADR for late lunch at 2:30pm, and that worked out perfectly. When we were finished with our meal, we went outside and the parade was going right by. We could stay on the large porch to watch it. I would recommend this, if it is not too late for you to eat, that is!!

Ask for Michael, he's terrific. LTT has a delicious lunch menu! My Kids even think their hamburger is the best.

You can have a nice relaxing meal for not much more than counter service. I think it a bargain.

Lunch is so much better than the supper IMO. Pot roast is out of this world :)

We had lunch at LTT last summer. It was our very first time ever dining there, so I didn't know what to expect. It's a nice open, airy restaurant. At least, the section we were in, there was a ton of space between each of the tables. I guess so the characters have room to move around during dinner?! Anyway, the food was good, the service was good, and it was a great break during a very hot day. Here are some pictures of what we had to eat that day. I didn't get a picture of the mozzarella sticks appetizer, but it was delicious, and I highly recommend it. Actually, it was mozzarella and other cheeses, breaded and fried, not just mozzarella. lol Wish I had gotten a picture of that. LOL

My pink lemonade, in the glass that you can buy as a souvenir:

Cheeseburgers, which were HUGE! lol

We aren't doing alot of table service meals but we would like to do maybe two. The kids all want to go back to Sci-Fi, and I wanted to try something new this time. I LOVE the Liberty Square area of MK. I could just stroll through there or sit and people watch all day. I'm glad to hear the good reviews!
Thanks!!

Having lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern is one of the top food draws for me at WDW. I like the quiet and homey atmosphere. The service is always great. The menue has a nice variety and the food has always been good. Try the Butter Griddled Pound Cake for dessert. It is awesome!!!!

Our family much prefers lunch to dinner at LTT! Dinner feels so rushed there to me. Also, it's noisy and the food is so-so in the evening. To me there is nothing like escaping the heat and crowds by stepping into LTT for lunch! The food and atmosphere is great, and the place has a whole different vibe than at dinner time.

We tried for the first time last week and were very impressed the prices were good, and the food delicious, the rolls and butter are excellent. I highly recomment it, and it will become a new must-do for us.
