I've never been to any of these 3, Liberty Tree Tavern, Plaza Restaurant or Tony's Town Square & wanted to make either lunch or dinner reservations. Which one is your favorite? It will just be husband & me.

Liberty Tree is the best bet, IMHO. Tony's is overpriced (from our experience) and the Plaza's menu is rather basic. Liberty Tree is relatively quiet and has a nice, cool ambience, especially on a hot day. Lunch is sandwiches and soups and platters, but dinner is served family-style with Disney characters in Colonial garb. The dinner is very nice - especially with a large crowd - but we prefer lunch. It is much quieter and seems to be miles away from the bustle of the park. It offers a nice respite from the crowds.

Have been to all 3 but for lunch. Liberty Tree is a character dinner but has a menue for lunch that we really enjoy. Tony's is good average itialian food and nice atmosphere and service. We like plaza for a simple sandwich lunch but probably would not eat dinner there.
If your over at the MK looking for a place to have a GOOD meal then I would take the monorail over to the Poly and have dinner at the Kona Cafe.
Otherwise check out the menus for your choices and see what sounds the best for you and your husband.

::yes::
I completely agree! It is our family's favorite meal. I have never had the fried cheese, but the pot roast delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2
I love lunch at LTT!

We have been to all three and would rate them in this order: Plaza, Liberty and then Tony's. We like a change of pace by going to Plaza after all the big meals we have at all of the other sit down restaurants. However, their portions are still huge, but very good (love the shakes and sundaes too). We tried Liberty last year for the first time for lunch and really enjoyed it. My DH had some kind of turkey meal and I had a turkey panini which was very tasty. It was, however, very crowded and very loud. Tony's we prefer for lunch over dinner because it seems it is a little less rushed than at dinner and the portions are smaller.

Liberty Tree!! or Plaza. just say 'no' to Tony's. ;) :rotfl2: Unless it's improved since the last time we were there.

I always find it so interesting the differing opinions you get on restaurants (it's also why I never panic if I pick somewhere someone else has said they don't like).

That being said I have no problem offering up my own opinion :lmao: We love LTT for both lunch and dinner and we absolutely hated Plaza and will never ever eat there again! (never been to Tony's so I can't comment on that one)

I haven't been to LTT or Plaza in awhile but we were at Tony's TWICE in December and it was very mediocre both times.

out of the three, id have to say plaza...tonys is way more expensive and less authentic than even olive garden (and thats saying a lot), and from what i hear the wait staff has become less than stellar lately. Liberty has uber salty food choices, and while the characters are there, its not really worth it. The plaza is a nice place to stop in to have a semi fast but good meal. They have a great strawberry salad, and grilled chicken sandwich. We have gone here a few times and have only been semi dissapointed in the service once. Have you thought about the crystal palace for dinner? I haven't been there myself in some time, but its gotten some great reviews!

Not Tony's. Tony's sucks.

I like both the Plaza and LTT - LTT is more relaxing, IMO.

LTT never disappoints. We always enjoy the food, service and atmosphere.
I esp. love the way you are called to your table....

they don't call your last name and where you from anymore, they replaced that with pagers instead.
