Liberty Tree Menu Is Changing This Week

We were at the Liberty Tree for dinner the Sunday after the hurricane -- the lettuce was not only wilted, but mostly brown so we didn't eat it. We didn't complain as we assumed they were struggling to get fresh produce in after the storm and wanted to give them a break.

What followed was a number of issues (unbelievably salty being a common theme) and a strange encounter with our server that led us to the conclusion we need to put the Liberty Tree on the back burner for awhile -- which is a shame as it historically has been our go to spot for dinner at the MK.

Disappointed! I really wanted to eat here both for the food but also to just relax and be served. With Trail's End booked for dinner I'm going to have to cancel lunch here.

Email sent regarding pot roast only available for children and the aycte pilgrim's feast being a ridiculous amount of food for lunch.

I'm wondering - can you order the AYCTE option using the DDP? Is it 1 TS credit? Or are you stuck ordering an entree and dessert from the a la carte menu?

Okay, so I just went on and looked at the new menu. Definitely numerous changes and I'm not pleased. I have an ADR for December and at this point I'm looking for something else. I may email them as well to let them know how disappointing this is. There are enough buffet and family style places and as we don't eat all that much and always go on a budget we prefer more ala carte options. They didn't leave much in that regard and they swapped out the chicken in the Colony salad for salmon which is a huge disappointment.

Americans do love their buffets and all-you -can eats. (We don't, except for the one exception of Boma).

The menu is updated on WDW site I believe. I added my voice and sent feedback. I said we will cancel upcoming ADR if they dont rethink by then..Disney does do that when they get a lot of negative feedback..so let them know how you feel. A good point to mention is that you dont appreciate a duplicate large meal at both the lunch and dinner hour. Many People like a different size meal at lunch!

I like buffets, mostly because I like getting a taste of a lot of different things. My favorite way to eat is Tapas style. I don't generally care for unlimited amounts of a limited selection of foods a la Pilgrim's feast or Garden Grill. I mean, it's okay, but the best part of a buffet to me isn't the unlimited quantity, it's the selection.

I'm not sure, but I would think it would count as 1 TS credit. AYCTE dinner at Liberty Tree is 1 TS credit and this is essentially the same thing, just not served family style.

I agree! if Im paying high cost buffet or AYCTE it is selection not mass food quantity!

What email are you guys using to let Disney know you are unhappy?
I also want to send a note since we have an ADR in January. If they do not change it, I will cancel it.

Go to wdw online, contact us, and guest relations.. there is a small link that says email us

I was never a fan of dinner at LTT, so I can't imagine that I'll like the AYCTE lunch offering very much. I know that this my 3rd post on this, but I'm just heartbroken if the pot roast is really gone. Our ADR is on Christmas day. I could've gotten Be Our Guest, but couldn't think of anything else I'd want more on Christmas than the pot roast. And it's too late to get an ADR somewhere else now.

Somehow, I don't think eating a Bacon Cheeseburger is going to feel like a special Christmas meal.

Maybe you can subscribe to the canceled ADR thread for December. We decided to go to WDW late in the game for Thanksgiving but was able to coordinate with a kind Dismember who was canceling their ADR for Thanksgiving dinner at BOG. I was so happy to get it as there was very limited availability. It was pretty magical! I hope you can get a little pixie dust somehow too! :wizard:

I gave away my LTT lunch for Black Friday about a week ago because it just was not fitting in with our plans. I was a little sad at the time because I really wanted to eat there but wouldn't want to eat there now. I don't care for AYCE and nothing else really appeals to me. I don't mind Disney character buffets, because I feel you at least get a wide selection of salads and other lighter fare AND the characters. I can't imagine ever going back to LTT until the menu changes again.

Totally agree with this! At buffets, I eat my one plate of food and call it a day. I certainly don't eat enough to justify the cost but the variety of choices is nice. My mom who's traveling with me in April has a lap band so definitely has no appetite for AYCTE Pilgrim's Feast. I liked LTT lunch options because there was a nice variety, at decent price points and everyone had something they liked.

Put me down as another email sent. Both hubby and I have dietary issues that have been dealt with exceptionally well at LTT and both of hubby's "base" meals are gone now. He was able to have either the pot roast or the turkey dinner tailored to suit his needs and it makes no sense to spend the outrageous amount to get turkey since it's really the only thing he would be able to eat off the platter. Very frustrated but really happy to have the heads up at this point. Unfortunately the only other place in the MK that could safely feed both of us is the Plaza and they operate on a walk-up basis (unless you want to eat between 11:00 and noon!) so now we'll need to leave the park and head to one of the monorail resorts to have our "lupper" (you know, that meal that works for both lunch & dinner :P ). Not a huge issue except we're going in January when the park hours are already short <sigh>

Anyone know if the AYCTE lunch price ($33 per adult) is the same as dinner? I don't like the lack of choices on the lunch menu either. TIA.
