Liberty Tree Dining

For lunch you can order from a menu and there are no characters.

Lol... please take this into consideration! DBF and I were eating lunch at LTT a couple of weeks ago and this couple came in with their granddaughter (we think) and after they were sat, they began looking around frantically. When their server came to greet them and asked how they were, grandma informed him that she was very angry because she thought there were characters there for lunch. Now, I understand that us DISers plan obsessively and would know this. However, I have a difficult time understanding how someone who is spending all the money on a Disney vacation and goes through the effort of making a reservation, would not simply check to make sure that there were going to be characters if that is what they were looking for. Plus, when DBF and I left LTT when we were done, we were sitting on benches across from the restaurant for a minute and there was an enormous banner that said something to the effect of Characters at Dinner Only. So really, I would blame the mistake on no one but her. Oh, and also when they decided to stay and the server asked them what they wanted to drink, grandpa ordered an MGD. DBF and I couldn't even look at each other for fear we would explode in laughter. The server very calmly informed him that he was in the MK and that there was no alcohol served there. He just threw his hands in the air and ordered a soda. Something tells me that poor server didn't get a good tip from that table (and nothing was his fault)!

plans for one day changed last year and we ended up at LTT for lunch. Although the service was probably the worst we had the entire vacation, except for the waiter who did not speak English at H & V, the food was fabulous!!! Unfortunately, the waitstaff seemed more interested in each other than us. We still got our food & drinks, just not much enthusiasm. Every restaurant can have a bad day but the food was so good (the aforementioned sandwich, a Pot Roast and a Turkey dinner), we're going back for dinner this trip. Just haven't mentioned the character thing to DD!!:rotfl:

Words can't describe how much I love  LTT.
I ate there for the first time in March before the Pirate & Princess Party.
It was delicious! And I honestly have never had a better character interaction at any other character meal. At LTT Minnie came around 3 times, Chip & Dale twice, and Goofy 3 times. Never has that happened to me anywhere else. The turkey was sooooo good. I could eat here every night. haha :rotfl:.
And I know some people say "Well, I'm not paying to eat stouffers." but here's the thing. The macaroni may be stouffers but that doesn't take away from the taste. It sure is good. We've already made ADR's to eat here again in October.
:goodvibes

I love LTT also! The dinner is fabulous! We always get the all you can eat Turkey platter. It is sooo good! Great atmosphere and great characters!
It's my favorite character meal!

We were there in February. The food was good quality and our server was excellent. However, the character interaction was almost nonexistent. Chip and Dale and Minnie came by in the first forty-five minutes we had been there and Minnie was short but sweet, but Chip and Dale were total fly bys and my dh actually had to ask Chip to stop leaving so we could take a pic. And then we waited and waited for Goofy.

Still waiting...We had been there 90 minutes, waiting for 45 minutes just to see Goofy - having long since finished our meal -- when we finally decided to screw it because we'd now missed Spectromagic and were wasting time. Our server then went and got Goofy for us, who was very funny for the whopping 90 seconds he was at our table. Sigh. After we left, we realized that the last 45 minutes we were there we had not seen a single character on our side the entire time. It was very disappointing and a waste of time.

Dinner at LLT is one of DH's favorites. We ate there on May 13 for a 6 year old girl's birthday. The character interaction was great. The food was delicious too. We all left happy and well fed.

We only go to LTT for dinner, we love the character connection that they have. Also the food is great. Anytime there is a Thanksgiving dinner served I am there :goodvibes. My girls thought the mac and cheese was awesome as well. This is one stop we don't miss when going to MK.

We actually got in on stand-by within 5 minutes for lunch this past Saturday. I had the yummy salmon with spaghetti squash and both DD and DS loved there kids meals. I would have loved to try dinner, but we had to depart at 3PM and our other day in MK we ate at CP for lunch.

LOVE IT! Better yet, the kids love it, and ask to go back every time. It's a "must do" on our Disney trips.

Try the crab cake appetizer for lunch. We were surprised at how good it was. :goodvibes
