Is the Liberty Square Riverboat just a boat ride or is it a guided tour? Is there anything interesting to see on the boat?

It's a boat ride around Tom Sawyer's Island. You see a lot of scenery and they have a narration of Mark Twaine telling you the backstory to Frontierland and a lot of the rides and attractions there like Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and the Haunted Mansion. It's slower and not as thrill-a-minute as most rides, but it's still a very pleasant ride.
