Liberty of the Seas Drink Station

We are looking at cruising on the Liberty of the Seas next month (1st time on RCCL) and was wondering about the drink stations or do you have to go to a bar every time? Trying to figure out the drink packages and see if they are worth it too. Thanks for any info.

I am 95% sure they do NOT have the Freestyle soda machines. Therefore, if I'm correct, for sodas you will be limited as to type and you will have to go order from a server somewhere.

That's too bad. Was hoping it would be easy. Hopefully it won't be something you are constantly waiting for.

It's going to depend on how busy your cruise is, I suppose.

Do you have other questions about the beverage packages? If it's just soda you want, that's the Refreshment package (if you drink a lot of soda it'll be worth it vs buying each soda individually). Other packages depend on what else you want.

While there have been rumors of the Freestyle machines physically being somewhere on the ship in storage, they have not been installed yet. If you are going to drink soda 3 times a day (including in the MDR) the Refreshment package will be worth it with or without the Freestyle machines (there are enough bars on the ship that you are never really too far from a refill). We will be on her in July and I will probably end up getting my wife the Royal Replenish package, which is basically all non-alcoholic drinks (she can't usually drink alcohol on cruises). I doubt I will be getting any beverage packages for myself.

The last time we were on the Liberty OTS (I think it was Spring 2014), ice water and other included drinks were available in the Windjammer buffet at drink stations where they are pre-poured by staff. You just walk up and grab one. There's no waiting; it's very fast and efficient. In addition, staff in Windjammers would ask seated guests if they would like a beverage.

Self service ice water and hot beverages (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) were also available in the Royal Promenade at the Cafe Promenade and at Sorrentos.
