Libby Lu in Downtown Disney

I know that nationally Club Libby Lu's are closing. I wasn't sure if anyone knew if the one in Downtown Disney has also closed or is closing. If so, does it look like it will be replaced with a Bippity Boppity Boutique like in WDW? We are making our first trip to DL in August for our twin girls bday and thought that a princess makeover would be a fun thing to add to the day. Thanks!

I know for sure the DTD Libby Lu is closing. (closed already I believe) I called them January 3rd to make an appt for a Libby du for my daughters bday on our upcoming trip, January 29th. They told me they would be closing mid month. I don't know what is going in it's place though. Maybe someone else has that info.

I know that as of January 16th Libby Lu was still open my Daughter went with my Dad for their Birthday and she brought back a really cute dog and purse. I sure hope they are open until after March she wants more clothes.

Our cousins live down in CA and they just told me that they saw a sign on the door of the princess store in the castle saying that it was going to turn into a bibbidy bobbidy boutique. I am not sure, but I think the sign said it will open in April/May????

I don't know anything about Libby Lou's replacement.

Libby Lu's was having a big clearance sale when we went for Thanksgiving, so I would imagine they won't be around till March, for sure.

I've heard rumors as well that DL is adding their version of it (apparently called Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique) to the inside of the park, rather than Downtown Disney.

BBB is slated to open in April in the Once upon a time shop. Department 56, and Libby Lu should if not already be closing up/getting rid of fixtures. Princess Fantasy Fair is over per a CM I had asked, and is now strictly meet and greets as BBB will take over makeovers in April.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll be sure to bring bobby pins, ribbons, flowers and glitter spray. Looks like a DIY hairdo trip. Good thing I get lots of practice at home. DD loves her hair done up and wearing her princess costumes in the parks!
Can't wait until BBB opens up! Sounds like fun!

Department 56? is also closing too. Judging by the economy, i think many more will too. Makes me wonder if they should just make DTD a restaurant district and send all their guest to GardenWalk to shop. :\

That makes me sad , because I'd rather just go get my hair done than go through the whole BBB process.

Oh my DD LOVED the BBB on our WDW trip! She was 5 at the time and got the hair nails and makeup. It wasn't much more than Libby lu but definately better. She had a Libby Du in November and they didn't really make a big deal out of it like they do at BBB
