Freshman can't bring their cars to school. If I return to NU next year, I might not bring my car. Between the cost to park it in the lot, the tickets that i see on EVERY car on the street, and the dents that I see on the cars in Boston (and this includes the BMWs, the Mercedes, etc), I don't know if that would be a good idea.

Tell you what....I'll treat you at the Cheesecake Factory, if you come to the one in the Prudential Center, deal? It's only a few blocks from my dorm.

Is that a Lexus? The back lights look like the one my grandfather has...though overall significantly less modified. And much more grandfatherly, lol.

And I'm not too fond of it here. NU is a nice school, but it's a bit cliquey, and I'm a bit much of a New Yorker I'm also changing majors, and Northeastern most likely won't offer it (being that it only has about four kinds of art-related majors).

Yep it's a Veilside GS...a bit extreme for even my tastes. There aren't too many modded like that, but I'd venture a guess you'll see alot like that on the site the photo was linked from. Mine is modded more conservatively combo of L-Tuned, Rod Millen Motorsports, Toyota Team Europe and Toyota Racing Development. As an FYI Veilside was the spoiler company that modded the RX7 turbo that Vin Diesel drove in the Fast and the Furious.

I agree....especially since that's what we're giving each other for Christmas! It's not the same - we saved for it together, we're finding it together (well, I'm doing all the research, he just gets to try the cars I've narrowed down) - but I'm definitely putting a bow on the sucker! December, I've found, is actually a great time to buy a car.

The Veilside is SCHWEET. Not the color I'd go for, but that ain't no Grampy mobile.

Yeah I know all too well what you mean...that was one of the reasons that site owner was banned from ClubLexus, that and questionable business dealings with other CL members. Since you know that site have you (or any of the other Lexus or soon to be Lexus owners) visited www.clublexus.com ? We pride ourselves on being one of the best enthusiast sites around. We run it very similar to the DIS- no cussing, no flaming, no inappropriate pictures or links. I've been a mod over there almost as far back as it started back when it was on the ezboards. Really great group of people there.

MissJ, one of the reasons I got a Lexus was because of that site. I assumed the girls came with the car. But you know, every morning I go out to the garage and there's no scantily clad bimbo rolling around on my hood. I wonder if I can get compensation under the lemon laws??

TSF, I have been on the clublexus site, but haven't signed up yet. I did on another one though and found it rather juvenile, even for me (and that's saying a lot). All they do is argue which car is faster or reply with "Do a #$%(* search, dude, someone already asked that!!" Which makes me ask, why have a board at all if you can't ask a simple, albeit common, question? I'll go give clublexus a second look.

Lemme guess is300.net? Yeah they get a little more rowdy over there, steppin all over newbies and what not. That doesn't happen at CL, we have a much more mature member base (not read older, just more mature)
