Letting your kids skip baths...

Ds is almost 9 and bathes every night. He hates to wash his hair so we do that about every other night. He has always loved baths. When he was little and cranky, I would let him play in the tub several times a day. Now he's so stinky, I can't imagine letting him skip a night.

During the week, I have DD shower nightly. On the weekend, she may skip a night, or two if I let her. But she doesn't play hard. Once softball season starts up, showering will be more often.

DS15, well, he is another story totally, IF he showers every 3rd day we are lucky. Just doesn't see the need. He MIGHT wash his hair in the shower too, again, if we are lucky. I WISH he would get a girl friend!!!

LOLIremember that phase with DS. My sister is our dentist and it wasso funny the first cleaning he went for after he started dating this one girl.
My sister yells through the office"hey having a girl friend really improved your dental hygine".... Oh boy wasn't that the truth. Trying to get him in the shower or to brush hsi teeth was a nighmare from about 15-16 1/2.

When we had kid #3 we went to every other day baths! Now that the oldest is almost 13 he NEEDS a shower usually every day. That doesn't mean he takes one ;) but his hair gets greasy.
