I was just reading about the first child who ask to let Tinkerbell out of her box at TinkerBell's Treasure Shop in FantasyLand gets to let her out of her box. I have never heard of this before! Cute idea!

Anyone's child ever done this or anyone watched it?

DS got to do this last December. It was a letdown. They had him ring the bell and say "wake up tinkerbell", at which time the CM hit a switch and lights blinked across the wall about 2 feet. The CMs then went "There goes tinkerbell." And then DS got a certificate.

My daughter was able to "wake" Tinkerbell on our trip last year. The child is given a wand and asked to tap Tinks box and ask her to wake up. Once she is awake, you will be able to "see" her flying through the shop. If you walk in and you can hear her already, then obivously you will have to try again on a different day because they only do this one time per day.

My daughter was given a certificate for her special moment and was also given stickers.

Good Luck, best to try on a non EE day.

Sorry that you didn't enjoy this special moment, hopefully your son did. I knw that my daughter enjoyed it and yes I saw the other Cast Member hit the switch, but I wasn't going to let on. As long as she enjoyed it.

Actually, we tried to hype it up for him when he did it, he's a really big Peter Pan Fan. We were like "Wow, you woke up Tinkerbell, that's so great" but he was just like "I didn't see her, where was she?" They even lit up the lights for him again while we tried to explain it to him but he said "I still don't see her." He had a bewildered look on his face the whole time. We just told him he did a great job. I'm glad other kids enjoy it though.

My 10 year old DD woke Tink up in January. She literally drug me down Main Street so that we could get there first!
