DD and her friend want to go to WDW for their spring break. We think it's a great idea and are thinking of booking them a villa using our points. We won't be going with them, it will just be the two of them (and possibly another friend or two).

DD is 17 but her friend is 18. Will there be any problems with this? I wouldn't think so and I will ask when I call MS, but was wondering if anyone else has done this.

I think as long as someone is 18 you will be fine, let us know how you make out.

It was several years ago, but I allowed my daughter & her friend to go alone. Daughter was 18 and friend was 17. They didn't have any problems.

This is great to hear. Thank you!

I have booked my DD who was 18, a friend who was 17 and two 16 year olds in a studio at OKW without issues. DW and I did go, but were in another part of the building. The kids went out on their own.
As long as one person in the room is 18+, they will have no issues checking in. The 18 year old will be responsibly for the room and the activities of those who are not 18.

Thanks everyone. It looks like this should be easy. Now we just have to figure out dates and which resort they want.

We booked our DD's using our points too. So long as you have an 18yr old, all should be fine!

I let my son and his friend use points at AKV when they were seniors in high school. It was Jan. and they were both 18 by then. However we were also booked at VWL LOL. However they loved having their own place at a different resort. They did most things with us but they also did some things without us. I have given my daughter points over the years for stays too. It is awesome!!!
