Just received a letter today (1/28) welcoming us to the Yacht Club resort, we checked in 1/3. The letter is to inform us that the Shipwreck Slide will be closed, sorry for the inconvenience and that we are welcome to use the Luna Park pool at the Boardwalk and a shuttle service would be available for our transportation. Sure wish someone had mentioned that before our trip instead of 3 weeks after! We were not informed of the slide being closed before we went or during check-in and no one mentioned the BW opportunity or the shuttle. Disappointing! My kids did swim at SAB. So for all of you future Yacht & Beach Club visitors, FYI, the slide is closed until April 4, and shuttle transportation is available to BW.

Similar thing happened to me, too! Yesterday I received a letter saying that Old Man River pool at Port Orleans Riverside would be closed during my stay, and I could use the quiet pools or Doubloon Lagoon at French Quarter. Well, I stayed at French Quarter almost three weeks ago, Jan 8th to 11th!! I was puzzled as to why I would get a letter about Riverside's pool being closed since I wasn't even staying there! And three weeks late, too!

But the good thing is, I was happy to get another letter from DisneyWorld to open! :)

Sorry to hear.:( Sometimes it makes you wonder. Imho you get more up to date(actually up to the minute at times:) ) info reading the message boards here. I remember a thread awhile back pertaining to SAB and the slide closure before it was officially was announced.
