That might be the big cargo ship Andrew was talking about earlier that was ahead of the Magic. Andrew said he thinks the Magic was going in the lock to the right and the cargo ship in the lock to the left.

Looks like the other container ship from this morning is finally going through.

great, I saw everything this AM and started tracking this at around 4:45 eastern time hoping to see the Magic finally come back to the east coast. Now, I have dinner plans with friends at 7 and she still hasn't come through!!! Don't think they'd quite understand my obsession in waiting for her and I don't think they'll want to wait! Guess I'll have to miss her. I'll check back later for the pics!

that's what i think too...he mentioned a big container ship going to the left side and that he thought the magic would go to the right..

i wonder if it's there on the right but just out of camera shot..

I remember in 05 they called him "Pilot". Wasn't he a DISer??!!

His name was LUIS ALVERO or ALVERO LUIS and he was a pilot who posted on one of the 2005 Panama Canal threads. He was one of the pilots on the westbound or the eastbound (or maybe both.) There are 5 or 6 pilots who come onboard a ship as large as the MAGIC.

He posted early in the chatter on the Westbound 2008 thread but did not stay with us and did not respond to any PMs that I know of so many not work there now.
