Why do people lie? Hostesses, people in the swaps; I just don't get it. Like, if I am told something is mailed out on X day and after 2 weeks I finally get it and it has the date it was actually mailed out printed on the envelope, is that a slap in my face? Are people assuming I am too dumb to notice? I consider myself a fairly reasonable person and if you tell me, hey I haven't mailed it that is certainly better than me jumping on my mailman for 2 weeks and pestering the bejeebers out of my boss, asking if I received something. LOL I am a little angry and very butt-hurt about this situation.

Everyone knows life gets in the way sometimes. But I agree - better to come clean than say "I posted" a month ago and now find its only just left. Still, my postman will be relieved when it finally arrives!

Just wanted to add that my package was postmarked on Oct 11th and I got it Oct 13th. It did come priorty mail. I PM'ed her to thank her. Hoping everyone else gets there stuff soon.

I'm (almost) inspired to do another swap - but I felt my contributionhs were inferior so maybe I need more practice before I take part in another one.

Ok Here is my take on swaps...
Some of you know me. I have been around for a long time. But due to many of the issues posted in this thread caused me to take a leave. I am slowling popping back in. Imissed the chit chat.
I think part of the problem, and I said this before, they have become too large and too many going on. Initially say 5 years ago swaps were no larger than 8-10 people. That is a workable number. Granted it isn't as exciting to get back a small bag as it is to get these wonderful huge bags. Also The same hostess starts hosting 4-8 swaps at the same time because so many people want to join in. Again more problems to arise!
To each her/his own to swapping but for me too many red flags. Also the date things are due...some of the swaps are now 6 months out! You need to be extremely organized if you are a hostess.....
I feel really bad for those of you who haven't gotten your items. I hope they do appear and for the most part they will.
But for me....swapping is a risky thing!
As for a flaker list....not sure how I feel about that. If someone truly has a problem why their stuff is late would you put them on the list? Or just the no show?
