Now that my Winnipeg Jets are out of the playoffs I may be a little bitter. lol Kidding!! I'm cheering and watching the games because hockey is AWESOME!

Making this thread to get the hockey talk off my disney trip PTR because I'm afraid I will run out of pages before my trip gets here!!!

So who are YOU cheering for? Or are you like me and your team didn't make the playoffs this year?

Do you also hate Sidney Crosby and his dumb bread commercial? lol j/k

But mostly the Blues, Canucks, Nashville, and New York.

Out of all those bandwagon teams this year I'm destined to be happy!

lol I saw that. But I am cheering for the Penguins over the Flyers so I guess that's ok. However they can get it done!

And it's 3-nothing for the Penguins right now!

ug! The Sharks worked hard at the end here - they get to play St. Louis - who they lost to 4 times this season!

Maybe they'll peak at the right time this year. After all, when they won the President's Cup a few years ago, they didn't get far.

Heck, I even root for the Pirates. If that's not a dedicated wife I don't know what is!

But I do really love the PENS . Can't get enough of Sid, Malkin, and Staal.

Hoping that the Cinderella story continues for my beloved Ottawa Senators. They are playing the Rangers in the first round so it is going to be a tough series for them.

They were predicted to be in the NHL basement this year, so being in the playoffs at all is fantastic!

Bruins fan here, signing on (don't everyone gang up on me at once...). Game 1 for my guys tonight. But the playoffs are already going great. Nashville and Detroit playing with real hate. The Kings and 'Nucks playing a game of "You get 1, I get 1" (can't wait til that deteriorates into a 4th grade girls' slap fight). And the Pens blowing a 3-0 lead to the Flyers (as a B's fan, I know how much that stings).

LOTS of sub-plots to these playoffs, and thank you to NBC and NHL network for broadcasting more games, here in the States, than ever before. Playoff hockey is a time unto itself and borders on cult-like.

Here's my predictions:

B's over Caps - 4-2 (BONUS prediction: B's win game 6 (7-1)

Rnagers over Sens - 4-3 (nail biter)
Devils over Panthers - 4-1
Flyers over Pens - 4-3 (minimum of 1 suspension in the series)
Canucks over Kings - 4-2
Sharks over Blues - 4-2 (too bad. I liked the Blues' Cinderella story)
Hawks over Coyotes - 4-0 (only sweep of the 1st rd)
Preds over Wings - 4-3 (BEST series of the 1st round)

Hoping the Bruins beat the Caps...the Flyers and Pens beat the crap out of each other in a 7 game series...Rangers beat the Senators...Panthers beat the Devils...Rangers then play winner of Flyers/Pens and I hope they beat the crap out each other in a 7 game series...Bruins beat the Panthers and then beat the winner of the Rangers/Flyers/Pens series.

Plus I hope the Kings knock Vancouver out in 4 but just because I hate the Sedin sisters!!!

I'm a Rangers fan! I'll be rooting for them first & foremost of course but if they get the boot, I'll root for anyone who does not don a Penguins, Flyers, or Devils jersey.

And as much as I hate the Flyers, I had to laugh last night. Good for them coming from behind and winning in OT. Way to stick it to crybaby Crosby!

I had almost forgotten about this. I forgot that the Preds were the big buyers at the trade deadline. With Gill (injured) and Kostitsyn on the Preds now, you have a vested interest

Go Preds!!!! Great game last night. I thought they were going to blow it at the end. The refs called so many penalties and then I found out that Gary Bettman was at the game. I think his presence made the refs go a little overboard.

Hi Jenny! No surprise, I COMPLETELY agree with everything here
Hoping for the Flyers to beat the Penguins in that series because
1) I'd MUCH rather my beloved NYR play the Flyers eventually than the Penguins if it comes to that (since they have been unstoppable against the Flyers)
2) I haaaaaaaaaaaate Crosby more than any other sports figure ever.
