if Easter is late March will there still be spring breaks and vacations for the few weeks afterwards? How about if Easter falls in mid-April - will the crowds start to subside during the week following Easter? Trying to decide when to schedule an Eastertime trip. Wondering if we have to wait out the weekend after Easter or if we can go right after Easter. The parks don't have to be dead, but I'd like the level to get back down to moderate.

We'll be there the week before and after Easter this year. I have been reading a lot about the crowds and it is expected that both weeks are going to be packed. Some have reported that the crowds diminish somewhat the further into the week after Easter you go, but it is still fairly crowded. One person described Fantasyland at peak hours as "you have to hold onto the shirt of the other people in your party to keep from getting separated" and another person said "the only thing I can liken the Easter crowds in Disney to is Bourbon Street during Mardis Gras".

I know this doesn't directly answer your question, but my guess is that it only marginally matters whether Easter is in March or April when it comes to the crowds.

Isn't Easter Week usually considered the week AFTER Easter? That's when our relatives have their Easter Break. There are some school districts that will always hold their Spring Break the same week, whether it's the third week in March, the second week in April, or whatever. Very few schools take their break at the end of April, unless Easter happens to fall then.

I would think the weekend AFTER Easter will be a little better than any time during the week after Easter.

No matter when Easter falls -- the week before and after are always, always crowded. Things start to slow down the weekend after Easter. Park hours go back to early closing, etc. A CM told us that the week before is actually busier/crowded than the week after.

I believe Florida schools vac the week before Easter and are closed the week after. Maybe this helps lessen the crowds the week after?

From what I've read the week leading up to March 27th(rated 4-6) will be a bit slower then the week after March 27th (rated 7). Easter Sunday itself is a 10.
