I was curious, one thing I found helpful is the hotels that offer "free breakfast" I love Holiday Inn expresses hot breakfast, and with a family of 5 is sure saves a ton!!

I am looking at booking Raffles for our next(and first trip to DL) trip. I was wondering if folks could chime in on breakfast there vs at the other good neighbor hotels. who has the best free breakfast? most variety and I mean eggs and bacon or something that at least pretends to be that..not just the donut breakfast plan.

Raffles website says deluxe continental which is nothing more than cereal and maybe a toaster. There is an Embassy Suites which has a great hot breakfast. It's further away though. Best western Pavilions has a free pancake breakfast at the restaurant next door. We found a super rate at Desert Inn. There is a microwave in the room. They offer a cont breakfast but we are ordering food from Vonn's to be delivered. You may want to consider that as sometimes the better breakfast is built into the price of the room thus not much of a savings

So you found a pretty good rate for Desert inn that is good the walk to the park is nice from there.

I don't have experience right at the anaheim hotels, but at other hotels in the chain that tend to be the same. Embassy Suites hands down has the best breakfast, but the most noisy living room areas from the noise in the atrium. A close second are the Marriot Residence Inns. I've also had good breakfasts at the Hampton Inn, but dunno if that is universal or not.

We're there from November 19-26 so we have the Thanksgiving rates to deal with. We need 2 full rooms w/ full baths that are adjoining. We have to be super close for DMIL's arthritic knees. We have two gauranteed adjoining rooms (they call it their family suite) for a total of $139 for 3 nights and $159 for the last three nights. Tropicana was $129/ per room the first three nights and $179 per room for the last three nights It's almost half price!

so far I've liked Holiday Inn Express' breakfast best. Best Western was so-so, Tropicana nothing to write home about. The WORST breakfast bar we've had was the Ramada Inn Maingate North. Bleh.

Residence Inn on Harbor had a super breakfast. Eggs, bacon, waffles, strawberries, and the usual.
