What kind & size of albums do you prefer?

What's your "style"?

What's the most pages you've done in one album?

Where do you do most of your scrapping?

When do you scrap?

What project(s) are you currently working on?

Just curious!

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?
12 x 12 Albums are the only ones I use as of right now :)

What's your "style"?
Simple Scrapper, I don't like lots of embellishments on my pages, but I do like to use lots of pictures!LOL

What's the most pages you've done in one album?
I think one of my DD's albums has 30 pages in it, but I don't like too many in one album

Where do you do most of your scrapping?
In my Scraproom, which I love because I have the entire downstairs to myself while I am working on something!

When do you scrap?
Now that the kids are back in school, I will be scrapping during the day sometimes, but usually I scrap late at night

What project(s) are you currently working on?
Right now I am working on our "Family" album and "Vacations" album (not Disney, that has a separate album! LOL)
:)

I have a hardback A4 book that i use for my scrapping

I'd say bright and colourful was my style

I don't have a set amount of pages or an album or anything, i just put everything into one book

I scrap at my computer desk usually

I usually scrap when i'm bored or feeling creative or when i have a lot of things i have saved from places that need sticking in

I'm not working on any projects at the moment but the last one i finished was my last trip to Disneyland

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?

I like Creative Memories albums. I've always used 8.5 x ll albums 'cuz they fit on my shelves better than the 12x12's, plus they're easier for the kids to pick up and look at - not as unweildy. But I love the look of the 12x12's and am thinking of using one for our WDW trip - if I can figure out where to keep the darn thing - ideas anyone?

What's your "style"?

Sort of eclectic. I started out CM style but have gradually added more embellishments - especially some varieties of paper for borders and matting, etc. I like it when the photos stand out more than the pages though, so I don't go for super loud patterned paper. I'm going to try some of the collage look pages in my next album. I love the look of many layouts I see on 2 peas and am excited to try it!

What's the most pages you've done in one album?

42 pages in a CM 8.5 x 11 book (84 pgs cropped front & back) in our Disneyland/California 2001 album.

Where do you do most of your scrapping?

In my dining room. Or sometimes at a friends's house when she hosts a crop. I'm thinking of going to my scrapbook store - anybody do that? Our store bakes fresh warm choc chip cookies every day, mmmm now there's incentive!

When do you scrap?

Ha ha! That is the eternal question!?! I should be scrapping instead of web-surfing when the kids are in bed lol. How do you find time???

What project(s) are you currently working on?

I haven't worked on anything for 2 years, but I'm getting geared up to start my trip album. WDW here we come! I've been shopping at 2 Peas and Mouse Memories this week and will definitely stop in the store in DTD - hope it has some new & interesting things!

I'm looking forward to hearing about all your scrapping...

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?

Generally inexpensive 12 x 12 albums for my kids/family stuff. I use 8 1/2 x 11 for my ongoing garden scrapbook for my Dad. Quite frankly I'd rather spend my money on page supplies, than on an expensive cover. But I would like to try my hand at Mod-Podge-ing a cover. I use post bound.

What's your "style"?
Mostly simple. I get LOTS of inspiration from Simple Scrapbooks magazine and Becky Higgins sketches in Creating Keepsakes magazine. Not tons of layering or embellishments and small amounts of patterned paper.

What's the most pages you've done in one album?

Well.... the cover has fallen off DD's baby book.... it is really overflowing due to all of the "new baby" and baby shower cards I put in it. It probably has over 80 pages... but the cover is falling off. I will probably split the pages into two new albums sometime this fall.

Where do you do most of your scrapping?

In my bedroom. We have an office I could use part of and we do have a finished room in the basement that isn't currently used for anything, but I like where I currently work. My bedroom is VERY large and I am able to easily fit all my supplies and work table without cramping my room. For now it works best to have me upstairs, near the kids and activity.

When do you scrap?

Anytime I can!! Now that the kids have returned to school I will try to get AT LEAST a page a day done on the days I am not substitute teaching. Also any free weekend time (hard to come by during soccer and swim team season!), evenings, etc. I even took almost ALL of my supplies on vacation to the lake one year! I got a lot done that week! I'm trying to figure out a way to scrap while I am waiting at the pool during DD's practices!

What project(s) are you currently working on?

Currently working on our 2004 WDW trip... I have scrapped about 24 pages in each child's book already and I am still on day 3 of the trip (including travel day!). I do a separate book for each child for our trips. Also trying to catch up on their childhood books (WAAAAY far behind) and will get current on my Dad's gardening book before his birthday in October.

Thanks for asking!................P

Since I am new here, this is a good ice breaker for me. :)

What kind & size of albums do you prefer? when I first started scrapping * in the current format called scrapping* I used photo albums. When I saw the light and started to convert my stuff, I had to condense. I did my son's first year in a 12 x 12 book, but subsequent years were in 8.5 x 11. When my daughter was born, I did the 12 x 12 book for her first year. I so loved the creative freedom and I stuck with the 12 x 12. hehe * I forgot to mention my type of albums. I like 3 ring binders personally. I have used strap hinge, but dislike having to trim the paper. I'm kind of lazy that way. I detest post bound, they just don't hold enough for me before they get all wobbly. In my 12 x 12 albums, I can get 6 months to one book and my 8.5 x 11 I can get 3-4. I know I could get more in a bigger binder (I use 1 & 1/2 inch) but don't want to have to convert the rest of them to the same size. *

What's your "style"? Simple would best describe my style. I scrap all pictures so I can't do all the fancy dancy things, but sometimes I try them out. ;) I call those "my thinking out of the box" pages.

What's the most pages you've done in one album? We had a friend to move last year and I complied a book of all the things we had done together over the 2-3 years we were friends. I called on some other friends to contribute but it quickly became obvious I was the one who takes all of our pictures! LOL So, I had to borrow the doubles that I had already given Jen to make her album! LOL It took the surprise out of it, but she loved it all the same. I think the total page count was 105. I don't think that is the biggest but it is the only one I can recall the exact page count on.

Where do you do most of your scrapping? dinning room table. The kids play room is there also. By using the dinning room table, it keeps my mess under control. I have to clean up in order to eat dinner.

When do you scrap? mostly the mid day hours. 10 - 3. Occassionally I can scrap after dinner. Oh and once a month I go to a scrappin night out at a local church. It's my ME time.

What project(s) are you currently working on? Kids books, and my next current project is a book for two of my nephews who lost their mom this year to cancer. I want to give each of them one since the oldest has moved out already.

This is a fun thread!

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?
I use CM albums, mostly 12x12, but have done several "brag books" and three Alphabet albums in smaller CM albums.

What's your "style"?
Pretty simple, very CM fast formula type. I like to get LOTS of photos on a page. I also have been convinced to "tell the story." So I journal a lot. The kids LOVE to read it, especially if I include humor.

What's the most pages you've done in one album?
I don't know. My oldest son's first album is very fat.

Where do you do most of your scrapping?
Dining room table. I bought a table to scrap on in our office, but have never got the office sorted out and haven't ever set up the table.

When do you scrap?
I hadn't cropped for over a year!! I did three pages last weekend, during the day while the kids played with friends. My plan is to crop once a week, with a friend.

What project(s) are you currently working on?
My travel album. Bought the CM tapestry gorgeous thing. We moved overseas 8 months ago and a "perk" of doing that is lots of travel. Soooo..I'm trying to get all those photos down. Finished the Dubai photos and onto Paris. I'm so inspired to get it done and its less overwhelming than the 10 years of "kid" photos that is hanging over my head.

It sounds interesting. What's in it?

My Dad is an AVID gardener (both flowers and vegetables) and always has a beautiful looking yard. In 2002 I made it my goal to make a gardening scrapbook for him. I include pictures of the yard during various times of year, including picture of him splitting wood, pictures of the front door/yard decorated for Christmas, pictures of the vegetable garden and baskets of the harvest, as well as the usual pictures of the flowers and hanging baskets. I also include bird and butterfly pictures taken in his yard. My Mom takes most of the pictures for me (I live 2 hours from them). I did 1978-2002 for his b.day in 2002. Since then I have gone backwards and did their first house they lived in 1961-1965, as well as pictures of their current house they live in, which they built in 1965 (did some great pages of the house being built). I have had to do some digging to find pictures (lots of the older ones were slides I had to scan and print) and some detective work to get everything in the right year (Mom is not the most organized person.... but I love her!). And it gives me something to give him for his birthday every year! In the early fall I do the previous full year's photos (usually totals between 6 and 10 pages), so I am usually caught up with his book. For example, I will be starting the pictures from Fall/Christmas 2004 through Summer 2005 probably in about 2 weeks and will get them all done for his Birthday the end of October.

I know he loves the book and looks at it frequently. I also try to include pictures of the grandchildren in the yard (picking blueberries, watering flowers, etc). And it is nice to scrap something besides children and Disney for a change!!

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?
CM 12x12

What's your "style"?
Eclectic I quess

What's the most pages you've done in one album? I have NO idea - I have a few REAL fat ones there!

Where do you do most of your scrapping? corner of our bedroom for now

When do you scrap? 15 minutes here - ten minutes there, any minutes I can get throughout the day

What project(s) are you currently working on? :rotfl: :rotfl: Ok I have a "favorite Pictures" album, each kid-3 - has a set of albums, I am half way through my Disney/Fort Myers album, All About Me, Jellystone Annual Trip album, and of course the 3 circle journals I am in!

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?

I'm pretty exclusive to the Dalee brand of post bound top loading albums 12 x 12. I have a few older ones that are a variety and my son's Eagle album was a different brand although same format because of the emblem on the cover.

What's your "style"?
Varied! I have pages that are really complex and pages that are ultra simple. It depends on what I'm doing. However, I work primarily with paper, cardstock and stickers. I tend to stay away from anything "bumpy" or that might rub on an adjoining page.

What's the most pages you've done in one album?
I have no idea but most of my books are really thick! That is one of the things I really like about the Dalee books you can expland then quite large and not get alligatoring (provided you actually use the cardboard strips every 5-10 pages) and without ripping at the binding.

Where do you do most of your scrapping?
My work room. I have a room off the kitchen that is where I do my scrapping, sewing, and other craft work. Occasionally I will work in the kitchen or diningroom if friends come over to scrap or go to a crop.

When do you scrap?
Anytime I can, but generally on the weekends when I'm home and DH is working. Believe it or not weekends are usually less hectic than weekdays - except when we have a show running and then it is hectic non-stop.

What project(s) are you currently working on?

Well at the moment I'm working on a pair of matching flower girl dresses! But when those are done (wedding is mid-October) I will finish off the last few pages in DD's freshman year book and then get back to work on DS's things. Next project will probably be his trip to Brazil this past summer.

Deb

What kind & size of albums do you prefer? I like 12x12 because I can get more pictures in a layout.

What's your "style"? Mainly simple, I don't like "busy" pages.

What's the most pages you've done in one album? I don't know, my first few were 8 1/2 x 11 3 ring photo albums and they both have ALOT.

Where do you do most of your scrapping? The dining room table, with the 2 leafs (sp?) in it. It's the only spot in the house that I have room.

When do you scrap? Usually on a long weekend or a quiet weekend. I do a lot at once because it's a pain to drag everything out and put it all back up.

What project(s) are you currently working on? My general SB that includes holidays and birthdays and my disney SB, my vacation SB and DS' school SB.

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?
- I use only CM albums. Mostly 12x12 but I do have a few 7x7 for certain things.

What's your "style"?
- I guess some would call it CM style but its more simple to me. I use eyelets and brads in my work and am slowly adding things to my style. I use CM products mostly but I guess its more of a simple uncluttered style.

What's the most pages you've done in one album?
- 40 pages so 80 sides. I need to move a couple of the pages to a new album because it is too thick.

Where do you do most of your scrapping?
- On my kitchen table.

When do you scrap?
- Whenever the mood strikes

What project(s) are you currently working on?
- Right now my 2000 Disney trip.

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?
I mostly do 12X12 albums, post-bound. When I first began scrapping, I used CM albums, but I got tired of trimming my papers. Someone turned me onto post-bound albums and I haven't looked back! I have used several different brands of post-bound albums, but don't have a real preference. I have just recently done a couple of smaller albums (8X8 and 6X6) and I love them so I may be doing more of those in the future.

What's your "style"?
I am a pretty simple scrapper. I use embellishments like brads, eyelets, and tags, but haven't gotten into the ribbon and fibers or any of the real "bumpy" stuff like bottle caps. I usually put 3-4 pictures on a page, but have been known to put on as many as possible!

What's the most pages you've done in one album?
In some of my first CM albums, I have about 40-45 pages. Now that I am using post-bound, I try to stick with 25-30 pages so it will still lay flat.

Where do you do most of your scrapping?
Luckily, we have a spare bedroom in our house that is now my scrapping room. It is horribly disorganized right now, but once I get rid of the bedroom furniture, it'll be better. But anything is better than when I had to scrap on our kitchen table!

When do you scrap?
Whenever the mood strikes me. When I am in "scrap mode", I scrap mostly on weekends during the day. I have been known to be a late night scrapper too, which is why my DH bought me a quieter eyelet setter!!!

What project(s) are you currently working on?
I am one of those people who gets bored just working on the same book until it is done so I rotate projects. My big project right now is our December 2004 Disney trip, followed by our Las Vegas vacation. I always have ongoing NASCAR albums (I'm on my fifth one!).

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?

CM 12 x 12 albums, but I am now using a few post bound for certain events.

What's your "style"?

I usually try to get as many pictures on a page that I can. But I have done some LO's with only 1 picture and I love using embellishments. I don't usually go too bumpy, but there are always exceptions!

What's the most pages you've done in one album?

46 in a CM 12 x 12

Where do you do most of your scrapping?

On the dining room table, but that is soon to change. I will be getting a scrapping room in the near future! :Pinkbounc

When do you scrap?

Usually during the day when the kids are in school.

What project(s) are you currently working on?

As soon as all my pictures are developed I will be starting my Hawaii vacation album.

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?

I use 12 x 12 3 ring binders. I have done a few other sizes for gifts and special things.

What's your "style"?

I LOVE patterned paper and embellishments, but I do not go overboard!

What's the most pages you've done in one album?

I'm not sure how many pages are in it, but my Hawaii 2004 album is huge!

Where do you do most of your scrapping?

In my scraproom!

When do you scrap?

As often as I can!

What project(s) are you currently working on?

I am finishing up 2004 and then will begin on 2005. I am also doing an All About Me album, an album for my aunt for Christmas, and a heritage album from my dad's childhood

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?

Cheap 12x12 post bound albums. I only have two at the moment, "WDW '04 and 2005 Misc Pages" which contains all my layouts that I've made this year and "Vikki and Simon's Wedding" album.

What's your "style"?

Probably a bit of everything! I've never seen a CM page vs a non CM page to be able to tell the difference. I use patterned paper and embellishments but also like to keep things quite simple. My twpeas username is easyqueenie - maybe you guys can tell me if I'm CM style or not!!

What's the most pages you've done in one album?

My WDW 2004 and misc 2005 is getting very very fat! Probably about 30/40 pages.

Where do you do most of your scrapping?

I do it all on our dining room table as it's the only large flat surface in the house. Unfortunately it's also where the cats like to sleep!

When do you scrap?

Whenever I can! I should be scrapping now but England are playing a match on TV so it's just too distracting (especially as they are now losing - well done guys!) I have to balance my spare time between scrapping and studying for my long distance university degree.

What project(s) are you currently working on?

WDW 2004 (last few pages, sadly they seem to be the hardest pages too), Vikki & Simon's Wedding Album (will be a suprise gift for Christmas), misc 2005 album but that's on hold now to get the others worked on.

Great questions!

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?
I'm in transition right now. I used to do exclusively 8 1/2 x 11. I'd buy cheap magnetic photo albums and throw away the pages and just keep the binder (sometimes I'd decorate that too) - you can fit a LOT of pages in those and I'd buy page protectors in bulk at Staples and use those. Because each one says "Staples" on the edge I joke that my scrapbooks were "Sponsored by Staples." As I start to scrapbook my childhood pictures I'm transitioning to 12 x 12 because I'll be able to get more pictures in that way. But I also like small books now for specialty albums like 6x6 or 8x8. So a bit of everything I guess!

What's your "style"?
Not sure how to describe it. I like color - lots of it. The sister of one of my friends is a CM consultant and I did not like her albums - too much white and too plain. I like "busy" pages. Lots of photos, lots of journalling. Only recently started using embellishments and pretty much only brads. I don't like anything 'bumpier' than that. I don't tend to like trendy stuff. Paper is my most important component.

What's the most pages you've done in one album?
My 2001 WDW trip technically is in 3 albums, but it's all one theme so I'll call it a 3-volume album- total: 210 pages!

Where do you do most of your scrapping?
I have a "scrapbook desk" in my den/office, but there's so much stuff on the desk that the working surface is usually very small. So I usually scrapbook on my lap, using a giant kids picture book as a hard surface while sitting at the desk.

When do you scrap?
Whenever I can. I have lots of days off so sometimes I'll devote a full day to it, but I find that in general I'm most productive in the evening/night hours.

What project(s) are you currently working on?
Finishing my 2004 WDW trip, my childhood pictures, my parents' wedding, 2 friendship albums, and my CJ.

My mom loves her garden, and she would really appreciate a book like that. Hmmmm... great gift idea! I might just have to start one for her. Not sure if I'm up to all that detective work though - that's impressive! I may just go from this year forward lol.

What kind & size of albums do you prefer?
12x12 I use the strap hinge albums Westrim or Creative Memories
What's your "style"?
mainly flat, but I have been getting into eyelets, buttons and brads
What's the most pages you've done in one album?
too many...... I think I stuffed my album too full :(
Where do you do most of your scrapping?
my kitchen table
When do you scrap?
When my kids are in bed :)
What project(s) are you currently working on?
I am almost done with a Disney Vacation album (2004) and I have 2 baby albums. I need to start an album for my Dad for Christmas
This was fun! Thanks for starting this :) :cheer2:
