The Entertainment Coupon is for one free week-end day and you have to rent for minimum 3 days, maximum 4 days, with a week-end in between. I saved $30.59 by using this. The Product Code also comes from the Entertainment Book. So far this is the only coupon I've seen that doesn't expire 12/31/04.

8 days, using the priceless discount code. Total after discount and taxes is $166. When I find a coupon, or buy a book, I will be able to bring this down to $145. Not bad.

Not sure I understand the question. I got Emerald Reserve because of the size of the car I'm renting (Standard or Full Size - I believe they're the same thing) and I'm renting for only 4 days. $132.77 is a great price for 7 days. If you rented an Intermediate, you can only go to Emerald Aisle or the counter. Any car class higher than that goes to Emerald Reserve. Let me know if this helps.

You're welcome Wiggle. Glad I could help. That's a great rate for 8 days. I try to get the cheapest air fare, rental car, and hotel (I usually use Priceline for hotel) so that I have more money for fun things.

I am still in the hunt for a great rate for 1/8---1/16 . I do have a ? for those who do this often. I realize you can use a product code,coupon and priceless code to get a great rate. If I reserve at the EA, can I then use a one class upgrade coupon when I arrive to get a fullsized car for the same price?.
Can you tell I have never rented a car before?

you have to go to the counter if you're using an upgrade coupon. all other coupon types can use EA or ER.

I've never done it before but I imagine if you put the coupon number for the upgrade in your reservation, you should be able to do it. We've always rented full size and take a chance on getting an automatic upgrade in the Emerald Reserve. Last year we ended up with a Monte Carlo - loaded - and we were very pleased with it. Using the coupon code for $20 off or one free week-end day or some other one might get you a get rate for a full size that you'd be happy with and you might luck out and get a really great car.

Maybe someone else who's a little more familiar with the one car upgrade coupon can help you out better.

Question: Once you have a confirmed reservation, can the price change? I got a rate of $139.99 per week (then add all the taxes), but I was searching again and was getting a weekly rate plus a daily rate (because we will be returning later than when we picked up). Am I going to get shafted at the counter for an additional daily rate? It won't be much, but I'd like to know up front. Thanks in advance for any help!

Seems like since we are staying for nine days instead of the "normal" week, we get the bum rate. Not only that but we drop off and pick up at 3pm. I understand the full day charge on the drop off 3pm, but to charge full day on the pick-up 3pm...Hmmm, it just doesn't figure out right to me. What starts out as 125.00 for one week, ends up as 235.00 really quick. I am so frustrated at this point.

Any suggestions on what I should do. I was hoping to keep it under 200 for the nine days with standard and taxes. Am I dreaming?
