Let's Start a January Car Rental Rate Thread!

decaff38, I would take a look at the fullsize if I were you. I believe the base rate is only $3 more, so for just a few dollars more you will be guaranteed a full size. I have been to WDW 4 times this year and during my July trip the EA was empty, during my October trip there were only intermediate cars, so for my January trip (emerald reserve) we have a full size car. JMHO.

Alamo, compact car.

Jan.16-19 Using "ORLESS" as contract id and entertainment book $15 off coupon total with taxes etc $71.48

Does anyone know if the rate quoted in the FLA Tours is per family--per person...? It seemed as though it was for a family, but it didn't state at all.

Dchef - FL Tours is giving you a rate quote for the 'car', not per person. I think only Mears charges per person - that's why, if you have 3 or more people, it is usually cheaper to rent a town car pick up than wait around for Mears.

If you are checking in and dropping off at 3PM, and staying for 9 days, you should be being charged 1 week plus 2 days - 'day' begins at the time you pick up - example - I'm picking up at 9AM, so when I drop off at 3PM I am charged for that day in full - if I had dropped off at 9AM, no charge for the day - . :smooth:

not to bud in here but how do you do the fullsize on the computer and still get the E/R program? I tried to go through E/A and put in the fullsize and the computer said I had to go through the counter???
thanks!

Update to above.. I found it and I booked full size, the cost was only $5.00 more and since there is 5 of us, I thought that more space is better and worth the $5.00!

THANKS!!

mousy_in_canada, glad to see it worked for you. Just in case for others, you just change your car size from intermediate to full size, then click on the Emerald Aisle box and you can choose from Emerald Reserve or Counter. Click Emerald Reserve and all should be OK. Paying $5 is well worth the price of guaranteeing a full size. Though a minivan on EA would be nice, those are too few and far apart now.

Do you know what kind of cars are usually in the Full size isle?
Wonder what is classed as a full size?
Thanks again!

We have rented an Impala and a Buick Century. When we rented our full size in October, a new fleet had just arrived and our Impala had 39 miles on it and the new car smell!!

I got a pretty good deal following you. I know I would need the coupon, but could you share the code for the entertainment book coupon so that I can see if it would even work with my rental before I buy a book?

Feel free to PM me! THANKS!
Kayla :)

Has anybody used the Costco coupon for a free full tank of gas with budget? Were renting a car at the disney car care center and driving to Port Cannaveral for a cruise. How close is the car care center to Port Orleans? Thanks, Chris

When we went last October, we got a Monte Carlo. If you click here , it's a running thread on what cars are in the lot. It's quite long but if you go to the last page and read from the last page to the front, you get a pretty good idea what's been available.

I am looking for a mini van and so all these great prices never really show up for me even though I wish for $108 or so:rolleyes:

I reserved a full size from National for the week of 1/26 to 2/3. I used the Priceless code and the $20 entertainment coupon for a grand total of $145 and change!! So I am extremely happy about that rate for 8 days:Pinkbounc

The Car Care Center is located on the drive into the MK, not too far from the entrance to the MK parking lot. I'm not sure about your reference to Budget, since the Car Care Center is an Alamo/National operation. They will pick you up at Port Orleans in a shuttle van and take you to the CCC to pick up your car.

What about Dec 29th through Jan 5th? Can anyone help? The rates seem more than the $120 - $140 a week rates I keep seeing people post for the beginning/middle of December. Thanks.
