Let's start a Directions thread!!!!!!!

Let's start a directions thread for those that drive POV's or rental cars. Many times I have read questions about how to get to Publix or Goodings, Sam's Club, Belz etc. but they are all over the place. This thread would be home to all the directions and then we could print this out and take it with us!

Even if its not bumped to the top, just search for "Directions" and it should be pretty easy to find.

Some fine print:

Instead of being really specific, like from the Poly to Sams Club please refer to resort area. There are 4 resort areas, EPCOT, Downtown Disney, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom. All have major roadways leading out to the "REAL WORLD". So your directions would originate from a major resort area like MK Resort Area to Sams club.

We can duplicate the same destination as long as it is originating from a different resort area. Dont be shy to edit your thread if you miss a turn!

Please turn off signatures to make it easier to print out and take with.

Give directions to some of your favorite offsite locations, closest grocery store or pharmacy, closest hospital, favorite offsite eatery, favorite shopping strip, closest beauty supply etc.

Please put the destination in the subject line.

What do you think? Yes we could do maps.com or something but I think we all have so much more experience that those sites cant really give us. So let's share!

There may be a Super Target closer, but I found this one to be quiet (not touristy) and very clean with regular prices. You can get pretty much whatever you need. There is also a Krispy Kreme donut shop with drive thru right across the street.

Directions:

Exit WDW and take I-4 to Orlando

Continue on I-4 past Sea World and take the Conroy Rd. Exit

Make a right onto Conroy Rd to the first traffic signal.

Millenia Mall is on the right and SuperTarget is on the left.

There is 2 Super Targets much closer to WDW than the one by the Mall. There is one in Kissimmee that is new and very nice. Very close to WDW.

Would love for someone to add directions for those. There are several in the area, but just think if you are spending the day at Sea World or US/IOA and want to stop on your way back, now you know where there is one close by. I always have this problem when in WDW, I know how to get to one grocery store, one Sams Club etc or Im driving around all day looking for one.

Note that you will encounter tolls on Osceola Parkway, but the time savings is worth it. To get to Osceola Parkway, follow the signs for WWoS, it's entrance is on Osceola Parkway at Victory Way.

From MK Resort Area: World Drive south to Osceola Parkway east, to 535 (Vineland Rd) south, to 192 east.
From Epcot Resorts: Buena Vista Drive east to Victory Way south, to Osceola Parkway east, to 535 (Vineland Rd) south, to 192 east.
From AK Resorts: AK is on Osceola Parkway, take it to 535 (Vineland Rd) south, to 192 east
From Hotel Plaza Blvd Hotels: follow Hotel Plaza Blvd away from DTD, make right onto 535 south, follow all the way to 192 east.
From SSR and OKW: take DVC Way, make left onto Bonnet Creek Pkwy, make right onto Buena Vista Dr, then first right onto 536 east, to 535 south, to 192 east.

Great idea! I plugged in some destinations to AAA's online TripTik and it gave me some great directions! Here's one that you might find useful:

MCO -> Kissimmee Super Target -> Pop Century (sorry so specific)

MCO Orlando Intl Airport, Fl to 4795 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee 34746, Florida (Super Target)
Distance: 21.1 miles (34.0km)
1. Start out heading EAST on an access street towards AIRPORT BOULEVARD. Drive for 0.1 miles.
2. Keep RIGHT to stay on an access street. Drive for 0.4 miles.
3. Go STRAIGHT on AIRPORT BOULEVARD. Drive for 0.9 miles.
4. Take exit. Drive for a short distance.
5. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT to get on SR-528 W towards SR-528-TOLL W / INTERNATIONAL DRIVE / I-4 / FLORIDA'S TURNPIKE. Drive for 10.7 miles.
6. Take I-4 W towards TAMPA / DISNEY WORLD. Drive for 3.6 miles.
7. Take exit number 68 towards SR-535 / KISSIMMEE / LAKE BUENA VISTA. Drive for 0.3 miles.
8. Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto SR-535 S. Drive for 0.3 miles.
9. Go STRAIGHT to get on SR-535 S. Drive for 3.2 miles.
10. Turn LEFT onto W IRLO BRONSON MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. Drive for 0.8 miles.
11. Make a U-turn at 7 DWARFS LANE. Drive for 0.3 miles.
12. You have reached the stop-over. (Super Target)

4795 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee 34746, Florida to Disneys Pop Century Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Fl
Distance: 7.0 miles (11.3km) 13. Start out heading NORTHWEST on W IRLO BRONSON MEMORIAL HIGHWAY. Drive for 2.9 miles.
14. Turn RIGHT onto INTERNATIONAL DRIVE S. Drive for 0.8 miles.
15. Turn LEFT onto W OSCEOLA PARKWAY. Drive for 1.8 miles.
16. Turn RIGHT onto VICTORY WAY. Drive for 0.6 miles.
17. Turn RIGHT onto POP CENTURY ACCESS ROAD. Drive for 0.7 miles.
18. You have reached the destination. (Pop Century)

Hopefully, those are decent directions. AAA hasn't steered me wrong so far.

No need to make a U turn into the Super Target. There is a light right at the entrance on 192.
