We won the dream of opening MK on our very first day. All four of us were very shocked and happy

How funny - I saw these pictures and at 1st glance, thought they were mine We were MK family of the day our first full day at WDW too

This is one of my favorite shots from our experience. You can see the rest in my trip report (bottom of 1st page). I think it is probably rather rare to see people in winter hats and gloves at Disney too

It was outside the entrance to Animal Kingdom. In the same are where the small shops and character greetings are.

Imagineer Jason Surrell (Haunted Mansion from the Magic Kingdom to the Movies, Pirates of the Carribean from the Magic Kingdom to the Movies author) and the sign lang interp. Great Presentation! This took place in the building that use to house the Walt Disney Story behind the Town Hall Exibition area (near Tony's Town Square). So I'll consider these photos rare since it's not used to host public exibits/events anymore.

One of the Treehouses in 2001 with a person standing on the balcony. There's a lot of overgrowth but the large branch near the roof ISN'T actually touching the roof. This pic was taken while on the boat ride from POFQ to Downtown Disney.

How about Tinkerbell...
The person on the left is Margaret Kerry Wilcox, 78 yrs old, the original model actress Walt hired when she was a child to play Tink.

As you can see in the pic...she is just as fiesty as you would expect. I had a great day with her, lunch was fun as she shared memories of Walt and working with Marilyn Monroe.
Pulleeeeezeee..ignore the other person in the pic, it was 60 lbs. ago.

The Treehouse Villas are no longer available for guests to rent but are used international cast member housing.
