It's great to see that so far 14 of us have chosen the Jungle Cruise. I know a lot of people are tired of this ride and want it either gone or updated.

I actually like the corny jokes as it's all part of the fun, and the ride is a Disney classic after all. :hyper: Interesting stuff in the queue area too, eg the t-shirt that's been shredded by the kittens for sale.

I think Disney realises all too well that this attraction is very dated and people don't take it as seriously as park-goers did when it was first built many years ago. So they totally played on this and INTENTIONALLY included lots of corny jokes and created the "attitude" of the boat captains ("Yes folks, it's the back side of water"). :jester:

Maybe it could do with some updating and more animals, but until then I still love it as it is.

:) I love the Jungle Cruise! :)
I was noticing a similar trend with the Haunted Mansion- all but 3 people so far have had that on their list. I think I can say it is my favorite ride at MK! ::yes::

Also, I noticed that so far 19 of us have chosen It's a Small World, which (like the Jungle Cruise) seems to get a lot of flak from some people. I think it's a wonderfully cute, magical and enchanting attraction. Every time I go through it I notice little details and dolls I had not noticed previously. So much to look at!!

I am a New Zealander living in the USA. I saw that they even have a New Zealand native Maori doll doing a realistic-looking "haka" dance, along with the native kiwi bird (opposite the Australian section, just before you leave that room, on the righthand side). :cool1:

I put in Jungle Cruise and I started a thread to see how many people wanted it gone.

We ate there in December and you can still look down at It's a Small World. I love that attraction. When we were waiting in the queue we noticed the big clock opening and closing (near where you board the boats), which I don't remember seeing before.
