If my rebooked vacation was a Disney character he'd be Wreck it Ralph and say "I'm bad, and that's good."
Many of us have had our trips cancelled due to present circumstances. I'm definitely bummed about my 10 Day Disney trip I was leaving for next week. I know many of you that had to rebook must feel the same. More than anything, I'm overworked and I really need a vacation.
I decided to see if anyone else was interested in thinking about their rebooked trips and mention the POSITIVES that are coming from the rebooking. Yes, I am totally aware that our rebooked trips may not happen or may not happen as we hope. This thread is to stay hopeful, encouraging and wish for some magic! Feel free to mention your old and new dates.
Original Trip
My original trip was a 10-day stay at Grand Destino Tower, I had every FP+ you could want at the best of times and some awesome ADR's.
New Trip
My new trip is a 10-day split-stay: 5 nights at Port Orlean's French Quarter and 4 at Grand Destino Tower in November!
Events/Shows
I'm really bummed I won't get to see Villains After Hours, no two ways about it. However, I will be at Disney during the Holidays for the first time! With that, I will be attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Excited for that!
Attractions
Right now Cinderella Castle is undergoing construction, fingers crossed I won't see much of it in November.
Spaceship Earth will likely be closed, my original trip would have let me experience it one more time. On the plus side, Big Thunder Mountain will be open when it was going to be under refurb during my original trip!
Hopefully Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot will be open for November, so I get to experience another new ride (Haven't done either Star Wars attraction or Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway yet!)
Resorts
I've stayed at both Port Orleans French Quarter and Coronado Springs before. But that was before Coronado Springs had Grand Destino Tower. Though I really was looking forward to Grand Destino Tower all 10 days, my wife and I did plan on visiting French Quarter which we loved. So now we get to experience both places without having to go out of the way!
I'm looking forward to seeing the different Christmas decorations. We're hopeful to do a Monorail tour and see the decorations at those resorts as well (when I go there should be at least some up!)
What are some of the positives coming out of your rebooking?
