lets list the offsite budget resturants!

And of course I get a coupon code emailed to me today for 70% off :headache:. It's HEART for anyone who wants to use it.

Restaurant.com always cycles through the discounts. The month starts at like 50%, then 70% and eventually 80% at the end of the month. Always wait until 80%! (Unless you don't have the time to wait because your trip is coming up.)

We go for lunch/early dinner. We always have enough to bring home for a snack or lunch later. Great kids meals with delicious smoothy/slushy drinks for kids.

Hi I was looking on the restraunt.com website and have a question. If you get the $25 certificate is it one certificate or say 5 - $5 ones?

I am stuck at home because of the ice so I have been researching restaurants that are family friendly and reasonably priced close to WDW. I have used the search here on the dis but didn't come up with a list anywhere. Here is what I have so far:

At the Crossroads: Not sure if they are still all there?
CiCi Pizza
Chevy's
Domino's
Denny's
House of Blues
Sweet Tomatoes
Orlando Ale House

Actually, Orlando Ale House is not in the Crossroads Shopping Center. It is on Winter Park Vineland Rd right off of 535. It's not far from Crossroads, maybe a 1/4 of a mile.

For a good budget but basic food - Steak N Shake (down the road from Crossroads) has KIDS EAT FREE ALL WEEKEND.

it is one $25 certificate.

we LOVE Steak and Shake...I didn't know kids eat free on the weekend...we'll have to check that out. You can also earn S&S gift cards at Mypoints...Landry's cards for T-Rex/Yak & Yeti/Rainforest Cafe also.

Love some of the ones mentioned and we also eat one meal at Bob Evans on Rte 192. You can sign your kids up for the birthday club and they get a free kids meal. We save our postcards for the 3 of them and use them all at once while we're on vacation!

There is an I-HOP,Friday's,and Carrabba's on 192 east of Sherberth Rd.-the back way out of Animal Kingdom.

We go for lunch/early dinner. We always have enough to bring home for a snack or lunch later. Great kids meals with delicious smoothy/slushy drinks for kids.
Bahama Breeze is my favorite too!!! I love the calypso shrimp pasta. YUMMY!:lovestruc

Giordiana's pizzeria on 7786 West Irlo Bronson Hwy in Kissimmee is also on resturant.com.
Excellant food.

I'll probably get flamed for this.. but we love Logan's Roadhouse. It's one of our favorite off site budget meals. They have 2 full meals for 14.99 from 3-6 every day and all day on Mon-Wed. I signed up for their club thing and they send me coupons, for birthdays etc. It's a super casual place, that serves Peanuts ( I hate them and allergy alert!).. shells all over the floor, but we've had good steaks and chicken each time. logans roadhouse dot com.:hippie: Oh it's also on 192, across from the entrance to Celebration.. at the intersection of 192 and International drive South..:hippie:

There are also several places at the mall at millenia to eat, like PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory, CPK, Panera, etc. and it's not that far from Disney property especially if you wanna hit some stores while you are there.

Thanks for the coupon code for the website. I printed off my House of Blues one today for 3 bucks  Waiting for DH to look at the site to see if he wants to get another one and then we have 2 dinners for CHEAP while we are down there.

There is a Miller's Ale House on International Drive near the Orlando Convention Center that we ate at twice during our visit over Christmas. The prices are very reasonable for a sit down restaurant, the food was great, and the portions were enormous. You can also sign up for coupons on the website.

Now, as for "budget" offerings, every Monday night there is Baby Back Rib night at Ale House (I think at all of them, but definitely at the Miller Ale House on I-Drive...a full slab for $10.99, plus sides come with it. GREAT deal! The ribs were delish!

Is House of Blues kid friendly or just adults? Do they have a kids' menu? I'm curious if I should get the $25 or the $50 gift certificate for my family of 5. Thanks!

It is kid friendly- but I found they charge a lot for drinks! I forget how much an adult soda was and they charged something like $2.50 for DD's apple juice. I would go back, but order water!

I am listing these as best I can under the roads they are on BUT I don't know the area at all. Even though we have been many times we never have a car so don't go off site. SO if I have something listed incorrectly just tell me and I will edit! I like the idea of a list that we can print out.

This year we are driving and will try some of these off site places! Thanks for the information everyone!

Thanks for this thread With 7 of us, dining onsite at WDW is $$$$ so we are looking to go offsite for several meals since we will have a vehicle.
