Ray, honey, I feel so bad for you trying to plan your itinerary that I thought I would start a list (and edit as needed) of all possible events that we could do during DIS CON II!!!

Everyone, help me out with this list!!!! (What am I forgetting?)

By the way Ray, do you think if SpectroMagic were early (say 6) on Saturday, we could make Illuminations Dessert at 9:30? Maybe Linda could rent some busses (LOL)!!!!

Oh and Patinmn, you are DEFINITELY in charge of the itinerary...you did such a good job last year (even though I couldn't go)

Oooooohhhhhhh...I like the bus idea. But that might be cutting it too close. I think that they opened the French Island early for desserts before the Illuminations started and I thought that was the very best official event, ever. It sure would be nice to see Magic Kingdom's Fantasy in the Sky fireworks and Spectromagic. That's why I'm staying another Saturday on the 14th to see it then.

I have several lists on the above link. I know that I wrote to much before showing all the lists. They start right after the group picture...lol.

There are two main lists:

1. Numerical list of DISers of when they arrive and depart WDW, just to see who will be around when we are for unofficial DIS mini-meets.

2. Alphabetical list of DISers just to find someone by their DIS name quickly.

3. Resort list that the DISers will be staying at. Some may get together at their own resort for breakfast/Krispy Kremes or late for drinks/ice cream I'd be glad to put hotels, timeshares,too. We don't have any of those listed , yet.

And I put everything; names, resorts in alphabetical order...lol.

The next group of lists are alphabetical unofficial DIS mini-meets. Some have links to threads that other DISers have suggested as an unofficial DIS mini-meet.

There are question marks next to many host names and others with names. No one really has to sign up to to host, yet.

These names will probably change by December. Many names may be added as DISers become more interested.

I know the mini-meets will change even after the official registration/official itinerary comes out.

We moved a lot of meets last year as the official events became finalized or changed.

Once the official itinerary comes out, I think it will be easier to plan...and then change...lol.

But that's all part of planning and tweeking schedules...lol.

Since I arrive on Sunday, December i, 2002, I know that I have two nights before the official stuff starts. So, I was curious what other DISers might be interested in doing. I also have many days after the official event, but most DISers will be there on the 1st and 2nd and hardly anyone after the 8th or 9th.

O.K., blame luvdsny and Patinmn and Barb and disneycub and DumboOrBust and glo and all the others for getting me addicted to this stuff...lol.

If you have an idea for an unofficial DIS mini-meet, or attend or host or be linked to my thread, just let me know.

Also let me know if your arrival/departure dates, resorts are changed, etc. and I'll update them..

Do we really need an "offical" convention. So far between Rays list and this one, I don't think I have time for sleep and the official events aren't even on there! Oh well!

I would still like very much to plan another solo travellers get together. It might be even more useful this year as I am seeing much interest from persons who did not attend last year and are already asking questions about coming alone.

I am very very tentatively thinking of a lunch noonish on December 3rd and learning towards Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki or the Tusker House School Room, although the latter might be tough for a large group as I understand seating is only about 60 persons. The more I think of it Teppanyaki might be better...

I will try to think of an activity that might go well with this meet. Do we want to do this again? I am happy to co-ordinate. I would like to make a solo table available at the reception again too so people can come and be introduced to others...

What do you all think?

Taryn, I loved doing the solo thing at Norway! It had a great ride, and it had a great restaurant. I would do Norway again in a second. Count me in, where ever you decide.
Is anyone interested in some spa time? I've always wanted to do this, but Bill won't. So if I want to get in some "me" time, I have to do it when he's not with me.
As for the GF tea, this was actually an "official" extra. Linda set the whole thing up, and we had the room to ourselves. However, we did have to pay separately, as they did with the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. That tour was set up through Linda, too. I'm pretty sure she said she would do the tea and some sort of tour again. I missed the Keys tour last year, so I would love to do that sometime. The tea was wonderful. Everything was so good, and we all had such a great time! I think we laughed through most of that event, too!!
Barry, my DH would love a Hall of President's nap-a-thon. He does that on his own, all the time! LOL
