We went Friday night the 6th and had an awesome time!
It was very crowded, and we're glad that we purchased the Express Pass.
We purchased the $10 IOA ticket and went there from 3:30 until about 6:00, then we went directly into HHN's. We hit the houses in the studios first, absolutely no lines! So we didn't bother using the Express Pass until it started getting crowded.
When we went in '03, PsychoScarapy was great, but I don't remember the S*&^ smell being so bad. This year it wafed throughout the whole house, that and the urine smell.
Even coming out of the house directly next to PsycoScarapy you could smell that smell. It was definitely strong.
One thing that bugged me:
One of the workers stayed in the bathroom at Flannigans (I think that's the name) bar in the NY area. She asked every single woman who walked in for one dollar. We went back there three times and three times she was in there asking for money. I think she was a little off kilter, but still, even the attendants in Manhattan don't come right out and ask for money.
The first time my SIL felt bad for her and gave her a dollar. Then when I went back a second time and saw she was doing it to everyone, I got pissed.
But whatever.....
I took a lot of photos and I'll post those this weekend.
Worst house?
People Under The Stairs. I appreciate what another poster wrote, Quick, what can we throw up in one day and splatter with red paint?
That's exactly what that was. What a shame.
I think: HHN's executive workers were under the gun to produce for a Sweet 16 party.
It's like this.
I make dinner just about every night. But when my husband says, Dazzle Me! I do a bad job. I think that's what happened. They were under the gun to Dazzle and couldn't think of what to do.
I really liked the Deadtropolis scare zone, but only because I love Zombies and the End Of The World scenarios. But there weren't that many zombies out. The vampire scare zone was eh and the one with the pumpkins could have been better.
The one with the harvest/pumpkins also had a dwarf in it dressed up. I thought he was funny, but he was getting a lot of negative feedback. One little girl, about 14, who was only a little taller than him, screamed in his face and called him a little F*&*er! Everyone was teasing him.
All in all, I was in heaven that night and Loved HHN's. I agree that the Express Pass is a Must Have. We did it without the pass and regretted it because we spent most of the time waiting on lines.
Next time, we're staying at an on-site resort and will definitely once again purchase the Express Pass.
I'll post all my photos and a few video clips this weekend.
